were all those hits to the back of the head legal?
Thinking the same thing, but I guess they were connecting with the side of his head?

Wow and I was worried this would be eclipsed by the previous fight. 2 FotY runners back to back. Wow.

Note: Faber has never been into championship rounds, while Pulver has gone 5 rounds 3 times. That could be Jens' strategy here.

Jens is like a mini chuck. uhh Faber dropped like 7 shots to the back of the head when Jens was in trouble. Pretty surprised that didn't even pull a warning.

SUPLEX, MID AIR RECOVER

And Boogie, I doubt it. Not many doubt Faber's conditioning, and Jens hasn't gone that far at 145 or recently at all.

Wow Jens' sprawl was SICK.

Faber's punches are so tight and strong.

I can't help but think that if he connects with any of those it would be devastating. This Pulver guy is incredibly resilient.

Faber's short elbows are BEAUTIFUL.

Note: I reaaaally gotta pee. Fuck, and the commercial breaks are so damn short.

Edit: Wow a crowd booing a stand up. Nice.

Pulver seems sadistic!

He's all like "YEAH BABY HIT ME! HIT ME!"

Love it :lol

you can tell Pulver's eye is bothering him

Yeah I was gonna say he's been blinking/wincing/touching it a lot.

Edit: K not as bad as it looks. Seems like he has a small cut really close and above his eye, so it's hopefully just a trickle that's annoying him.

I don't follow WEC. Is there any chance Faber could move up to 155 and challenge at lightweight in the UFC?

He's so good that he would be competitve, but he wouldn't be in title contention.

I think he'd be at the level of Clay Guida (or Tyson Griffin, who he lost to) at 155.

Pulver's got to knock him out next round, as he's clearly not going to win on the cards.

Faber just looks annoyed.

Yeah Pulver's looking awesome but Faber's gonna take the decision if something big doesn't happen this round.

But regardless, this is fucking awesome.

Yeah, he'd be tough but eh. He's essentially the face of the league and Zuffa has made it really clear they don't want WEC to be seen as a minor league. They want to establish it as a another top level league w/ maybe different weight classes.

Faber seems to act a bit like a cock.

Good sportsmanship at the end...but the hang loose mid-fight is a bit cheap.

What a great fight. That was epic shit. Urijah earned that defense if he ever has.

Good fight, but I am a little disappointed in Pulver. He would have Faber backing up into the cage with his punches and back up himself and do nothing. Really frustrating

great fight

pulver showed tons of heart, but he didnt really have anything for faber tonight

faber was just quicker to the punch, and was able to dictate the fight and score some takedowns

impressive performance from both guys,

Urijah vs Jens lived up to what you'd expect. Very top level match, IMO. Jens essentially eliminated the takedown mostly but he got beat in the standup.

Fuck!!! I just tuned in. Is that everything?

Yep, just ended. Decision for the Faber Pulver match is coming up now.

Good show but Mir was starting to really piss me off.

Yeah they need some good announcing. That said Mir is pushing fighting to win a fight, and is against wrestlers doing nothing and lay n' pray, so he gets points for that.
