I hope he doesn't do it. Don't milk it. There were only three books. There should only be three movies.
That didn't stop them from making more Bonds. And there are actually five books (not all by Ludlum, but same situation with Bond & Fleming).

Well in that case I think there are more Bond books than movies. Plus I don't think the Bond movies are a good example of not milking.

Well this is not Bond! These are actually good movies! There, I said it.

As soon as you stop pretending that you KNOW he's a flash in the pan.

Who's pretending? Like you said, he's one of the only things that's worth watching on that smear of feces show SNL and if you look at the money his film made compared to the amount of theaters in which it was released, he has long since peaked.

That, my girl, is a flash in the pan.

Andy Samberg is not a would-be Will Ferrell, as you have lead yourself to believe.

I think he's Jewish, so he'll probably lean more toward the awkward Jew personality that suited Sandler so well.

Man of course they should do another bourne. I'm kinda sick of that bond shit, would be nice to see bourne continue.

I have no doubt there's going to be a Bourne Part 4.

1) Ultimatum will make lots of money. Movie studio is not going to let a franchise just waste away with money to be made.

2) Matt Damon says he's not going to make anymore, but what other hits has he had other than the Bourne franchise recently? None. 2-3 years when he's doing nothing + big pay raise, he'll be back for next part.

Syriana, The Departed, and The Good Shepherd before doing Ultimatum. He's in an upcoming Aronofsky film with Wahlberg that is sure to be good. After that, he's working with Greengrass again on Imperial Life in the Emerald City. He's hardly hurting for roles. Hell, he turned down a role in the new Batman movie, so it's not like he needs a big paycheck either.

None of those movies were "BOX OFFICE HITS" and huge money maker. Plus, most of his recent roles are secondary characters. Bourne is his only money making starring role. Next 2-3 years, no doubt, he'll have plenty of secondary roles and a few dud movies, but afterward, he'll need to pull out another Bourne to generate buzz.

Sorry, but no. It isn't. Having your first starring role bomb when you're very popular outside of that one movie is not a flash in the pan. Why don't we wait and see what else the guy decides to do? He's never been of Ferrell popularity at all anyway. He's never been a house hold name. It's hard for him to be a flash in the pan when you're popular but never reached the level of popularity where people can forget you.

If Farrell put out Old School and everything after that bombed and no one cared, THAT would be a flash in the pan.

I get you, trust me. You don't like the guy. Amazing.

You apparently love putting words into peoples mouths. Not only did I never say that, but I a) never hinted at it, b) never said he was my "comedy hero", and c) never said I was like OMG I LOVE HIM.

Chill.

Well, you're right. He has second billing on Departed, below Leo DiCaprio and above Jack Nicholson.

It's official. Bourne > Bond.

Oh, Juice.

Also, Bond movies NEVER do huge domestic bank, ever. CR is the highest at like $160M. Its the international markets where they destroy the box office. Always been that way. Basically keeps in line with Bond's univeral appeal I guess.

It's that way always for Bond. Bond movies make INSANE money over-seas. It is one of the few franchises that has appeal in every single country nearly. Bond isn't a franchise done by an American production company or with American crew. It makes sense we are not the key market for it boxoffice wise.

I think it's because Bond is one of those characters that connects generations. Kinda like Star Wars in USA I guess. At least here it's normal to have at least one parent who has seen and liked Bond and that passes on to the next generation.

No, please stop.

Btw, what other movies has the same international appeal as Bond? I can't think of none.

The LOTR movies I think pulled pretty amazing numbers from all across the globe too. But yeah, there are few others besides Bond.
