It did alright at the very beginning, but there was some weird cliff I dropped off of after I hit ten wins where I started getting ranked against players with 100+ wins and single digit losses. It's impossible for me to improve even a little in those matches and they aren't fun in the least. Starcraft II is nice in that no matter how awful you are, the system does a fantastic job of putting you up against equal competition so you can gradually get better. I really don't see any real way for me to get appreciably better at MvC3 and the game isn't fun when I just get juggled the whole match and I can't even put a dent in someone's health.

Just got this @ the best buy. It's been awhile since my last NCAA. Any slider guides out there to make it a bit more realistic (almost no AI encroachment etc)

That's very interesting cause I had the exact reverse situation. Great matchmaking in MVC3, challenging but not impossible, helped me get better. And in SC2, I try to play a match and I'm getting blown out in under 8 minutes.

really my only issue with MVC3, and the reason i stopped playing it, is because of the bare bones online options. no spectator mode, no round robin mode, no time options, no XF options..... come on man give us the ability to play the game the way we want to play it. you can keep all that shit on for ranked matches but you're not going to let me put on infinite time in a custom player match?!
for $40 i am in all over again though. fuck off COD 6 and battlefield and whatever other FPS is coming out this fall. UMVC3 is going to clean house!

UMvC3 is gonna be mid range price point. 40 bucks im guessing. The original is going for 20 bucks trade in on amazon right now. That takes the 40 price point down to 20. im guessing there will be atleast $10 gamer credit for UMvC3. the thing will be damn near free after everything is said and done if you do it the right way

i traded in MVC3 about 2 weeks ago for $30 because i was expecting UMVC3.
