You sure? I saw plenty of people playing Death Tank the week it was released. But I tried it lately and I found absolutely freaking zero amount of players to play with. Which is really frustrating because it's a game I'd love to play more online.Rlan said:Death Tank also does this and you can get plenty of people online.

IGN got the scoop on the mysterious disappearance of two Xbox Live Arcade games from the Marketplace. It seems there's a reason for such missing titles:
Founded in 1987, Empire Interactive had a long history of publishing and developing games on systems from the Amiga all the way up to the Xbox 360. But the company was closed in May of this year. Now, its two Xbox Live Arcade games, Double Dragon and Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe, have been removed from the service. It is not clear exactly when the removal occurred and no official announcement was made regarding the delisting. But if you look for the games on XBLA now, you will not find them.

Band of Bugs gets Avatar support and all-new DLC
NinjaBee Lets Avatars be the Hero, Releases New Game as DLC
OREM, Utah June 29, 2009 NinjaBee, the creators of the first fully-enabled Avatar game on Xbox LIVE® Arcade, A Kingdom for Keflings, announced today that beginning July 8, Band of Bugs will include Avatar support. In addition, NinjaBee will be releasing Tales of Kaloki, a new, game-changing DLC for Band of Bugs.

The added Avatar support will allow gamers the option of replacing the original storys hero, Maal, with their custom Avatar as they play through the main story mode. Players will also be able to engage in hand-to-hand combat and spell casting in eight-player Spider Hunter mode. Spider Hunter, one of several multiplayer modes, allows players to battle with or against their friends over Xbox LIVE to survive an onslaught of deadly spiders, mosquitoes, centipedes and more.
The Tales of Kaloki DLC is based on NinjaBees first Xbox LIVE Arcade game, Outpost Kaloki X. The DLC is set in space and uses the basic mechanics of Band of Bugs but adds a new tile set, new characters, new story, new skills, new strategy, new attacks and new abilities.

Were giving you an entirely new game, said Steve Taylor, president of NinjaBee. The Tales of Kaloki DLC is Band of Bugs but with long-range combat using lasers, rocket launchers, OO rays and a ton of other sweet weapons to blow attacking space ships to smithereens. Its all the wackiness from Outpost Kaloki X and tactics from Band of Bugs rolled into one, and were stoked to be releasing it.
In addition, NinjaBee will release a Band of Bugs Premium Theme. This theme, which features scenes from the game and concept art, can be downloaded through the Xbox LIVE Marketplace for 240 Microsoft Points.

The Avatar support will be added to the original game for free and the Tales of Kaloki DLC will be purchasable through the Xbox LIVE Marketplace for 240 Microsoft Points. Like the extensive collection of DLC already available for Band of Bugs, Tales of Kaloki can be played by downloading the original game, Band of Bugs (800 MS points). The Avatar support, Tales of Kaloki DLC and the Premium Theme will be available Wednesday, July 8. Band of Bugs is rated E for Everyone.

Band of Bugs is alright. That's the best praise I can give it, but it ain't shitty.Kafel said:The DLC will cost 240 points. By the way Band of Bugs is shitty and you'll have to spend 800 points to get it.

This is incorrect. The game is free. The premium theme is 240 points. Another false statement you made was that Band of Bugs is shitty; it's an above average strat game for $10.Kafel said:The DLC will cost 240 points. By the way Band of Bugs is shitty and you'll have to spend 800 points to get it.
shidoshi said:No, the solution is to have a system-wide, not game-based, matchmaking system. Nobody is going to sit inside of some random, long-released title hoping somebody else stops by, but that doesn't mean that they don't want to play. Allow me to jump into a matching system, check off every game I'd like to find other people to play against in, and then see who else is out there looking for the same game.
The way things work now is utterly ridiculous. For example, in Space Invaders Extreme, if I'm remembering correctly, there are like SIX different points at which I could be looking for somebody to match up with. (Two ranked game types and four player game types.) So, if there are only two people looking for multiplayer, then that means they have to happen to be hosting a game in the one mode out of six I'm currently searching in, or I have to be hosting in the one mode out of six that they're currently searching in. So, guess what? Even though the game is new, I've never, ever found an online multiplayer game.
The idea to make matchmaking "easier" has instead make it worse. At this point, bare minimum, I should be able to go into any game and see a full list of what matches are available, no matter what mode or style they are. I should also be able to see how many people are searching currently for a game, to know if it makes sense for me to then set up a room. But, really, matchmaking doesn't belong in the games themselves, because after a while of never finding a match people will simply give up on going to a game's multiplayer matchmaking.

It's ridiculous that something as simple and obvious as a feature to search for games on ALL modes is not included in any 360 game. The matchmaking is one of my biggest annoyances with online 360 gaming.chicken_ramen said:I agree. But, basically you can sum up the answer to the problem in two words: Server Browser. Hell, have all the matchmaking systems you want, but include the goddamn server browser too.
Your second comment is still false. Good game.Kafel said:
