is there a definite date for Small Arms? i checked out some vids and it looks to be the most interesting game coming out on xbla (not that other games released are uninteresting)

Anyone getting the PGR3 deck for UNO? 100 points... maybe I'll plump for it if others do. Would help me get those last couple of achievements.

I'll probably bite, but it isn't up yet. Wonder what additional rules that'll bring with it.

Damn. I'm going to have to buy this. I love UNO too much. But I wonder how it'll handle people who haven't bought the PGR3 deck? With the 35th Anniv., it downloads it for them before the game starts, but that was free...

Since it's by a third-party it (probably) won't be wireless, and wtf at the size of the buttons -- it's an "arcade stick and it's still got the small buttons? We need big clickers, baby!

Other than that it looks pretty nice, actually. I've had few beefs with the more recent MadCatz controllers that weren't dance pads.

well - it didn't really download it...

it was a temporary download and everytime you went to play with it - it would do a massively long load screen

That stinks. I was totally going to buy this. Does it make zoomy sounds?
 
I just beat Cloning Clyde, but I did it by going THROUGH the closed gate to Clyde Kong. I didn't even mean to do it, somehow I travelled through the door and beat the stage before I was supposed to. I didn't even become Mutant Clyde. Do you become mutant Clyde later in that stage?

Mutant Clyde is a cheat that you can turn on from the cheat menu. I'm not sure exactly how much you have to beat to activate it. I think maybe every stage including the challenges.

Ahh okay, so I didn't get the achievements in a backwards order or something.

The massively long load screen will only happen once per session now (this was fixed in the title update that fixed quickmatch).

edit - To clarify, by "session", I mean it will happen only when you switch to a different lobby / room of UNO, or if you switch to a different deck.

This week is FREE POKER week! Make sure you download the game on Wedsday or Thursday and it will be free. After that you gotta pay though, so get it when you can.

It's only free *for* those two days though, correct? If you DL on Wed. you get two days of the full version free, then you'll have to pay to continue using it.

Nope, after the two days its still the full version. Now if you miss the 48 hour windows to download it then to have to pay.

Correct. That way they can live up to their "free" announcements, and then still make the $$ after the deal with the casino sponsorship ended.

They're making up for the fact that they promised it would be free to the hardcore Arcade fans who were actually paying attention when they said it. They're (we're) the ones who download it at 4AM every Tuesday anyway. Everyone else who doesn't give a shit will end up paying for it and probably never know it was supposed to be free in the first place.

Well, it has a persistent pot, so I guess if you have enough money, you could set-up a no limit tournament if you want. I can't confirm it, but I don't know why they would exclude that option.

Remember when that Wednesday when the "XBLA Wednesday" download wasn't a game, but the cloaning clyde picture pack? It's probably like that. Saving it for when they don't have a game ready.

There is a singleplayer mode that is bankrolled by the arcade so you don't lose any money. I'll be playing that for a while till I know what I'm doing. Seems nice and slick so far.

But the PR listed it as an August 16th release. That's the weird part.
