I'm having a blast with Roboblitz and consider it to be one of the best XBLA titles I've bought so far. It vaguely reminds me of Vectorman...

It's good to see someone else ripping on the last couple of months of XBLA.

It. Has. Just. Plain. Sucked.

And for the record,

I love indie developers and hope that XBLA receives some more quality content from the indies. I just haven't liked anything new on XBLA in a long time.

Hopefully Symphony of the Night will come soon, yes?
 
I did not get much enjoyment out of the trial versions of Small Arms and Roboblitz. However, I heard that Small Arms is a good game for local multiplayer. Roboblitz - I didn't like either the combat or the puzzles. It might get better later on, but XBLA games need to grab you right away, and it didn't.
 
port all good old pc FPS with added coop modes..

Dark Forces would be nice, as would Heretic & Duke 3d.
Im not sure if modern companies are capable of making games under 50Mb anymore...so why not just grab games that are under 50Mb in the first place?!

Also port over Tyrian and Raptor..heck, give us most of Apogee and Epic's shareware stuff plz kthxbai.

This I gotta hear. How exactly does this game, in any way shape or form remind you of Vectorman? Please have an answer better then "it has robots".

Awesome. I've been itching for some fast paced stuff. I might get Roboblitz later, but a slow puzzle-focused game is not something I need as a compliment while focusing on Zelda. I have like 7000 points to spend though that I bought for Lumines before we discovered the evil truth about it. Since then I haven't bought anything but UMK3, its crazy.

It's definitely fast, but completely managable in the ways that Small Arms falters.

Jackal is one of my favourite games on the nes so this is news I approve of.

Finally MS seems to be coming through with a bit of content. More please.

Tyrian would have to be one of the most awsome early 90s games ever. The single player campaign with secret missions and upgrades was awsome, it had a scorched earth mini game and got even more content was re-released as Tyrian 2000 with like an extra episode or two.

Assault Heroes will do the trick tho :D
 
i'm all over assault heroes. i love me some top down shooters reminiscent of ikari warriors. hellllllllll yea.
 
How can they be so picky about content when they are letting trash get through ?

3drealms are dying to get Duke3D on XBLA and yet they complain that MS's standards are too restrictive.

Yeah, I agree, and have been saying the same for quite some time now. I wish the japanese developers got on that. Or, rather, I wish MS gave them some money to cred up the XBLA service with their awesome games.

Treasure have been working on 1 or 2 360 games for a while now, since it was announced back at E3 05. Maybe one of them is for XBLA? Who better to make a XBLA game than Treasure?

Wow, that looks awesome. Just like a similar sized clip utterly sold me on Mutant Storm Empire alone, so did that one. Castle Crashers, Mutant Storm Empire, Assault Heroes...some very nice original content coming to XBLA. Now just get it released....

Yeah, I saw the ad for this in the back of the manual for F.E.A.R. for the XBox360 and have been keeping an eye on this and another shotter (can't think of the name right now...Heavy something or another). This looks like it'll rock some ****. And for all you haters...Small Arms is fun as hell and I'm haivng a blast with it. The only thing I would change is the addition of more levels. It's no Super Smash Bros. Melee, but it it's a fun game for a cheap price. If you don't think so then send me an invite and I'll school ya.

EDIT: The other shooter I was trying to remeber is called Heavy Weapon form Popcap Games. Quick, somebody dig up a link! Also I've heard that a Battlestar Galactica game is in the works. And when is SNK gonna get off their duff and release some friggin content. Metal Slug Anthology via XBLA for the win baby!! :D

I'm about to get some MS points, it's been like over a month and a half drought, but Small Arms and Assault Heroes here i come!!

HW was significantly less engaging when I played it, and thus I only did so for like literally a minute or two, as Assault Heroes and Mutant Storm were calling to me. I would love to be surprised by it though. It seemed heavily focued on multiplayer, which also led my attention to drift, as that wasn't really the best environment to try that sort of thing out.
