I know what you mean man. I thought Sega would've jumped on the XBLA bandwagon long time ago. Hopefully they do and we see games like:

Shinobi
Revenge of Shinobi
Shadow Dancer
Shinobi 3
Streets of Rage
Streets of Rage 2
Streets of Rage 3
Alien Syndrome

Jewel Master
Kid Chameleon
Decap Attack

ESWAT
After Burner
Arabian Fight
Tempo
Bonanza Bros.
Fantasy Zone
Fantasy Zone 2

Outrun
Power Drift
Jewel Master <-- U ALREADY SAID THIS OMG
Golden Axe
Golden Axe Revenge of Death Adder
Sonic
Sonic 2
Sonic 3
Sonic & Knuckles
Ristar

Ranger X
Bio-Hazard Battle
Columns
Pulseman
Eternal Champions
Alisia Dragoon

So many games to list, this is just a taste of what they could bring to XBLA.

Bolded games that are on GameTap. Um. I think Jewel Master might be there too.

Yep, but look outside the 16 bit box:

Crazy Taxi
Daytona
Sega Rally
Virtua Cop
18 Wheeler
etc

I was thinking about that but I wanted to list games that wouldn't use up a lot of memory. But seriously I'd also like to see

Astal
Bug
Bug Too
Shinobi Legions
Slash Out
Psychic Killers
etc

Sega doesn't seem averse to dumping games at all, but XBLA is far from a 'dumping' ground, as we've seen.

As for those games being available on GameTap...uhh...so what? That's like telling someone who wants a hamburger at a restaurant that the place down the road has them. These titles are available lots of places; some of us would like them on XBLA, too.

*Watership looks at his watch*

Still no announcement? Geezze. the XBLA guys are just ****ing with us.

Actually that's something I would do every week. :lol

i'll definitely buy quake III: TA, great game, and it'll be fine on a controller. i also have played it on both a PC and DC. both great fun in their own rights.

but the game I *really* want is Quake II! the gameplay has always been unmatched in straight deathmatch, still to this day.

p.s. arne, where are we on getting Karate Champ on XBLA?

BOOM BOOM ROCKET CONFIRMED BY GAMERSCOREBLOG!

WOO!

http://gamerscoreblog.com/team/archive/2007/04/10/543959.aspx

Bizarre Creations (the creators of Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved) and publisher Electronic Arts bring the all-new “Boom Boom Rocket” to Xbox Live Arcade. The game will be available for download beginning Wednesday, Apr. 11, at 0900 GMT (2:00 a.m. PDT).

Boom Boom Rocket will be available for 800 Microsoft Points and will first launch in the U.S. Canada, and Europe. The title is rated “E” for Everyone (except in Germany, where it currently is unrated). The game also will be available in the near future in Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore Australia, and New Zealand.

From the media alert:

The addictive and original “Boom Boom Rocket” is the first music-rhythm game to appear on Xbox Live Arcade. Players trigger rockets to the beat of the music while traveling through a 3D cityscape. The better the player times the explosions, the more spectacular the fireworks effect. The fireworks are choreographed to 10 original tracks created by Ian Livingstone, who recently scored “Batman Returns” and “Project Gotham Racing 2.”

Game Features

Two single player gameplay modes – Normal and Speed
Two single console multiplayer head-to-head modes – Battle and Endurance
Practice Mode
Freestyle mode – No target line or scoring, just mash buttons to create cool fireworks shows
Earn up to 12 Achievements and 200 Gamerscore points

FFS WHAT IS GOING ON?? We still haven't got TMNT Arcade :( Arne you suck :P

haha.

EA is working on getting ratings board approvals in those countries. Of course the game will go out pending clearance and approvals and so forth. It's not just because you're a bunch of criminals. ;)

I was wondering what was going on there! I checked Arcade over the weekend for TMNT, I couldve sworn people were saying it was out.

Rocket sounds right up my alley (NO PUN) btw, I'll be grabbing it asap too.

Oh hooray, another game I don't care about.

And Catan is just sitting there, waiting for me to play it in all its glory.

WAIT

I just remembered that I got those 1600 free points last week from CC. I guess I have to buy this now.

Damn another game I need to buy this week.

Boom Boom Rocket only has 10 songs.
And offline multiplayer!

But, seriously, who didn't see from the videos alone that this game would get very old very fast?

Still getting it though. I'm fine with a night or two of fun for 800 points.
