Hey, I just thought about it some more. Wouldn't it be really disappointing if he's just talking about Every Extend Extra XBLA? that game has already been announced and we've seen pics. Maybe we're all getting hyped up over nothing here. :lol

n. i would have told aku he's free to talk about it and thanked him for being conscious about that. ;)

look what's that over there??

*runs*

I'm strangely enjoying Soltrio Solitaire. The game doesn't seem to have sold very well though (around only 10,000 people in leaderboards).

The IGN review of the game is one of the worst reviews I've seen though. (5.2)

Latest XBLA list from Major Nelson:

Top Arcade Titles (Full Versions)
1 1 Double Dragon
2 6 Soltrio Solitaire
3 - Rush'n Attack
4 4 3D Ultra Minigolf Adventures
5 8 UNO
6 3 Pinball FX
7 5 TMNT 1989 Arcade
8 - XEVIOUS
9 2 Catan
10 9 Castlevania: SOTN

Aegis Wing is not on the full versions list since it's free.

The arcade list is based on full versions purchased.

But isn't there a trial and full version of the game? Didn't that Poker game appear on the lists in the past, even during the free trial?

New DLC for Worms next Wednesday.

Summary:

- One new level: free of charge.
- Two more levels: 150 MS Points each.
- 22 sound banks: free of charge.
- Two desktop themes: 150 MS Points each.
- Two Gamer Picture packs: 5 Pack costs 100 MS Points, the 12 Pack 200 MS Points.

Team 17's forum has low-res screenshots of the above content.

Also, the specifics of the auto-update which went online last Wednesday:

Spadge said:
The update should be with us in a few days time, it is now out of certification and approved for release.

General Fixes

• Jet Pack SFX will no longer loop when a worm dies by drowning.
• The Wind indicator is now visible whenever the weapon panel is opened regardless of the equipped weapon.
• Team health bars will now appear at the start of every turn and also when the weapon panel is open.
• Various code improvements added to handle downloadable landscapes.
• Fixed exploit allowing for deployment of 2 weapons in one turn while using the ninja rope.
• Challenge 13 – the last remaining enemy worm will no longer teleport out of the play area.
• Fall damage will no longer be taken by a worm that started a Jet Pack flight in mid air.
• AI/CPU worms will now make a decision and take action much quicker.
• AI/CPU worm’s grenade accuracy has been tweaked to reduce the number of “unfair” shots.
• SFX will now play to indicate a change in fuse time.
• Removed inactive indication of fuse time settings on user placed mines
• Various code tweaks to improve frontend stability.

Xbox Live

• Fixed 4 Player Crash in lobby relating to multiple users attempting to join a game simultaneously.
• Improvements made to the handling of users with strict NAT settings. Only one player with Strict NAT settings can be present in a game at a time – the game will now inform of this and stop any other players with this setting joining the game.
• The user will now select a Team before searching for a game. This speeds up the process of joining a game and reduces the amount of “Game is unavailable” messages.
• Code improvements made for displaying and refreshing list of available Player Matches.
• Added message and visual indication to notify Host that a downloaded landscape can not be used unless all current members of the game have also downloaded it.
• Team names and colours will no longer be mixed up if a player drops out of the game between rounds.

Ranked Games

• The Ranked Game scheme now contains random fuses for all mines placed on the landscape at the start of the game. Mines will now randomly detonate at any point between 0.01-3.00 seconds after activation. This is a balance improvement added to stop mine clearance at the start of each match. This setting can also be carried over into Local Play and Player Matches by using the “Ranked” scheme when setting up the match.
Leaderboards
• Friends list scores will no longer be corrupted or displayed incorrectly when a user has reached a limit of 100 friends.
• Challenge time Leaderboards will now display times in excess of 20:00 minutes for completion.
• Fixed exploit allowing for times of 0.00 to be reported when playing through the Single Player Challenges.

Leaderboard Resets

Unfortunately, after conversations with the server folks at Microsoft, we are having to reset the leaderboards due to exploitations. We understand that this is disappointing for many people and apologise for the need to do this. With the changes in the update, it should prove a much better field of play and look forward to the update going out and people getting hotly competitive again. No awards or gamerpoints will be lost.

However we will be displaying the current leaders of all boards on our site for historical purposes and are currently looking at doing something special for those that have led the boards (with an authentic score). A URL of these will be released in the meantime.

We thank you for your patience, your business, enthusiasm and understanding. We hope you enjoy Worms even more when the update arrives and the first batch of DLC that will follow in the coming weeks - which includes some free content as promised :)

I downloaded the demo for Catan, and I couldn't believe how much fun I was having. Is the real version just as good, and what modes are there?

The real version is amazing and you should get it so we can play :)

I don't know about you guys, but I am PUMPED for Quake III: Team Arena on XBLA. That is SO AWESOME I can't even put it into words. I put so many hours into Q3 on the Dreamcast that I lost count. Anybody remember the DC Ladder? I got up to the top 10 for Quake III when I was at my peak. Having this on LIVE would be a dream come true. I hope its a port of the DC version. The soundtrack was SOOOO much better.

Catan is awesome sauce poured over a huge slab of kick ass. As far as modes are concerned, there aren't that many but you can fiddle with the rules to make it more to your liking.

totally forgot about that bad boy!

as with most decent xbla game Im exicted

Is someone talking about Catan? It's my favorite XBLA game by quite a wide margin. Add me! I'm always playing Catan, especially now that I am completely done with Halo 3.

yeah Catan rocks, uno rocks,

the whole "virtual living room" titles in XBLA in general translate really well into great experiences with friends.

I cant wait for Carasonine and the chess, checkers sets.

The DC version was AWESOME, only way it could've been better was if it had 2 sticks instead of ABXY... XBLA version will be perfect as long as they release music packs as free DLC to get around the XBLA size restrictions.

Nice, I'll get Catan later today. Add me if you guys wanna play tonight: upunkrocbeezy

Also available to play worms, Aegis Wing, halo 2, nba 2k7. Holla.

The DC version supported KB&M so why would you be using a gamepad?

This seems to be a nice mix of free and pay content. Free voices and a new level... great for me. If someone wants to pay $2 for new levels... fine for them.

As a former 'pro(ish)' quake 3 player, id just like to specify that every mention of quake 3 in rumors has been for team arena, which was generally frowned on..

If they do put quake 3 on 360, id hope its the pc quake 3 original, gold, or even the DC version.

And yes the dc version ran at a bit less then 30fps, and was only 4 players, I know quake 3 probably more then any game ever <3 The only positive aspect of the DC version on a literal scale was the new maps and music, but graphically and such, pc version wins and it had mod support.

I had a keyboard for PSO but my family didn't have credit cards! WHERE COULD I BUY A MOUSE FOR THE DREAMCAST IN EUROPE?!
I think I've still got the same PC now as I did then, I've stopped playing FPS on the PC because of Q3A on the DC I prefered the pad controls to KB+M.

Aegis Wing only has the full game available at XBLM (so no trial). As for the poker game, wasn't it free only for a couple of days or so?

Woooo!!

TMNT ARCADE

On the Australian OFLC. Australia, as well as Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Singapore or Taiwan never got the game on XBLA. Looks like they found a way around not using "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1989" like the other versions.

It's on the German USK under "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" too, seems to have popped p late last month. Awesome.

I wore out 3 Panther XL's on Quake III DC. They were awesome while they worked, but being as they were Mad Catz product, they broke hella fast. And the mouse for DC sucked. I decided to stick to the pad after returning 2 mice for poor performance.

That's good. How much is it? I'm not paying 800.

It's great that they've decided to make the Worms Soundbanks free, since they were missed purely because of the limit on size, and now with the new memory card size, are now free to expand on it. I'm a bit annoyed that there is no additional music, since the game has one track and it got tiresome after a while.

Should get me back to playing for a bit :)

Speaking of the DLC, Xboxic also recently revealed the initial extra content slated for the upcoming Mad Tracks.
http://www.xboxic.com/news/2970

As far as what is coming out this week, nothing is officially official yet but given all the information that has come out over the past week Mad Tracks seems to be a mortal lock for tomorrow, as fas a the second game goes, it could anything from Spyglass Board Games to Missile Command, no one concrete lead there. Indeed the Worms DLC stuff could even be the second game, they have done lame stuff like that before.

Hey guys, I've been wondering, have they ever patched Alien Hominid yet? I've heard there's a glitch that prevents you from getting two of the hats in the game. Last I heard, the patch was stuck in certification and that was months ago.

Nope.

See, told you so, mortal lock.

Not touched worms for a few weeks and just read those patch notes a few posts up, sounds like a good fix. I'll have to get them before playing with friends offline again etc.
