Hopefully, Minter & co are doing that because they realized how dumb it is to have the "super ox" and "space" (normal) modes share a leaderboard since they yield insanely different scores. It's no fun having an awesome space score, only to be crushed to pieces by players in super ox.
This is also good because a buddy of mine bet me I couldn't get the #1 spot in the game. I'm gonna be on that leaderboard reset like a hawk.
By the way, I'm the proud first owner -- who isn't Jeff Minter or a script kiddie hacker -- of the Long-Neck Long March achievement.

Not really. I just think they realized that the Evolved wasn't really necessary as most people hadn't heard of GW when it was a PGR pack-in. Less catchy with a longer name and all that.Jonnyram said:Do you think, perchance, it may serve as a single launch icon for future expansions, such as Geometry Wars Waves, etc?
Hopefully, they realized that the game sucks and cancelled it.SapientWolf said:What the hell happened?
It looks great, doesn't it? Too bad it actually plays the exact opposite. Disappointment total.bigswords said:HOly fuck this game looks great
I disagree. Pretty much the only enemies that get lost in the mix are the feedbackers (the rainbow-y little "sparks" that can jump off the rim and fire backwards, and also distort the screen if you shoot them). If you're running into shots -- which are easily missable -- you're not paying attention and playing carefully enough. That's a mistake all of us, including myself, did at first I think -- ran across the rim like we were on fire. To succeed in SG, one needs to make small careful movements and make sure to keep track of the playfield as much as possible (so as to know when a bull run can be done).FightyF said:While I (and many others) have no problem, it's hard to make an argument since he is right about the enemies being the same colours as pretty much everything else.
Oh, hell no! He's the kid using hacks -- note how he even has 200 in Smash TV. He also had 200 in Hold 'Em before that was possible.Mar_ said:Oh, so you are Sufoor?

Thanks. I understand the game better now. I still need the quarter miser achievement, so will using Donovan on X mode help steer the odds in my favor?svenuce said:
The Y/Z one wasn't that bad, really. I was able to beat Y mode on hard in about a half-hour.AstroLad said:Last two achievements for me are the 7-chain and the Y/Z one. Haven't really sought out either, though. I'm sure I'll eventually get the 7 just through normal play, but I don't know if I can stomach Y or Z mode long enough to get that one.

Minter's being a pretty big asshat about this game. Every time someone brings up a bug on his own forums, he completely disregards it and says it can't be possible. He dismissed the friends leaderboard glitch when it was first brought up as impossible as the game had passed cert, but now I believe he knows it exists. He acts like that every time someone brings up a glitch. Kinda ruins the image of him as a cool dude.Shard said:
