Aye, much the same. Although I'm sure MS have compensated them to an appropriate level.LakeEarth said:Carcossane is simpler then I thought it was, but at the same time it's a bit more addictive. I'm thinking of buying an expansion just to give them a little money.

Shard said:Halo 3 Map Pack, Undertow, and MSN Games Sale
posted Monday, November 19, 2007 9:00 AM by Tom Eberspecher
In honor of the shopping madness that is just four days away, we are running a three-for-one news special today without the need to be at a store at 5am. It's because we care.
First and foremost, we have just announced that there were be a Halo 3 map pack releasing on December 11th. From the media alert:
Available for 800 Microsoft Points exclusively on Xbox LIVE Marketplace, each map presents a totally different play style. Standoffs symmetrical valley, with its entrenched bases and fields of boulders is ideal for mid-sized objective and Slayer game types, while Rats Nests vast, labyrinthine passages bring something new to the Halo multiplayer experience: an indoor vehicle paradise, strongly influenced by the Campaign mode, ideal for big team battles. Finally, Foundry is the ultimate Forge map players can edit every single object in this voluminous industrial warehouse, place stairways, walls, bridges and tunnels to create an entirely new play space and build almost any kind of map they can think of.
And coming out this Wednesday on Xbox LIVE Arcade is Undertow.
"Undertow" redefines aquatic based shooters through a mix of high-definition graphics, intuitive controls and multiple modes of game play action. "Undertow" features a story driven single player campaign, on and offline co-op, and multiplayer for up to 16 players over Xbox LIVE. Players battle for control of the oceans as one of three selectable races, each with four unique, upgradeable units. "Undertow" will be available worldwide this Wednesday for 800 Microsoft Points and is rated E10+.

Eggo said:The link to that Thanksgaming sale seems broken. So am I right in assuming this is for PC owners only and has nothing to do with XBLA? Should probably snip it out entirely, lest people get the wrong idea.
... but like I said, Achieve360Points.com has the achievement list up, and if they do that, then the game must be out soon...Gowans007 said:Bah I thought SWOS was a cert
Undertow looks interesting, Co-op + mulit too![]()
Nah, it really doesn't mean that at all. Achievement lists come out whenever someone finds the game on PartnerNet, which simply means that the game might come out sometime in the next six months. It's not much of an indication of anything solid.twinturbo2 said:Usually, when they post an achievement list for a game, then said game should be released very soon...
Somebody listened to me!PepsimanVsJoe said:Heard too many bad things about Undertow. It looks I'll pass.
A recent rumor is that SWOS is going to be replaced with E4 for that deal.Kafel said:SWOS is part of the 10 XBLA titles offered this Fall.
I don't want to think about what would happen if the game is released before I receive my codes. >_<
Oooh, Undertow isn't good either? Wow, a really weak month for XBLA. I attempted to try Shrek N' Roll, I think I gave it 2 minutes of frozen shock "what, THATS your game design?!?" and sent it to the deletion gods.aku:jiki said:Somebody listened to me!![]()
Uhhhh.... wow. I'm going to have to disagree and suggest an eye exam. I thought Screwjumper was one of those rare games that manages to get every single thing wrong. Even the sound seemed unbalanced and annoyed me.mr jones said:Well, having played the demo, I have to say that Screwjumpers is a pretty game. Everything moves fast, the character models look solid, and the textures and lighting give everything a nice glossy look.
People want a modern shooter that doesn't require disc swapping.I don't understand all the hype for Ikaruga on XBLA.
LakeEarth said:A recent rumor is that SWOS is going to be replaced with E4 for that deal.
Well, I don't think so. It's not that it's bad it's just that it's a dull Robotron (or Geometry Wars or whichever one may prefer) coupled with a dull CTF-ish gameplay* and I just don't see why I, or anyone for that matter, would want to play that when COD4 just came out as the goal and idea is the same, just in a different setting and with different controls. And it has a singleplayer mode like Shadowrun had a singleplayer.LakeEarth said:Oooh, Undertow isn't good either?
I thought the idea was fun, just the execution was poor. At least it's better than Screwjumper -- who would've thought?LakeEarth said:I attempted to try Shrek N' Roll, I think I gave it 2 minutes of frozen shock "what, THATS your game design?!?" and sent it to the deletion gods.

Wow, lose perspective much? You're still getting ten games for free!Leonsito said:10. The number of prizes is limited to 25,000 and Microsoft reserves the right to
withdraw or substitute games without notice. No cash alternatives will be offered.
I applied for SWOS !! CURSE YOU MICROSOFT !!
Gowans007 said:Yaris has tainted any expectation I would dare to have from this![]()
Yaris has tainted every game for XBLA. Even ones that have already come out.Shard said:Well, there is a key difference here, that being in the dev house being used. Yaris had Backbone Emryville on as developer, who can't seem to churn out a decent game with out some guided direction. Doritos Dash of Destruction is being developed by NinjaBee, one of the best developers for the service, the people who brought us Outpost Kaloki X, Cloning Clyde and Band of Bugs. So there is a chance thsi will be better then Yaris.
You know Castle Crashers is a beat 'em up, not a platformer, right?Gowans007 said:I'm really now looking for different offerings from XBLA, more board games, simple sports stuff (SWOS) & platformers etc (castle crashers being the biggy for me).
Does anybody play Yaris and think it's intentionally bad? I mean, really. I feel like Backbone were forced to take the job and to make sure they got their point across to the bosses, they threw together the most retarded game they could imagine. And to top it off, they tossed in an achievement that requires you to play the game for like 20 hours at least. They're just fucking with us, I swear.Gowans007 said:its just the YARIS well its left a tumor in my head right in the place any sponsored/free ad game excitement exists![]()
Mike Borland's inspiration for "Doritos Dash of Destruction," was a
fusion of his passion for racing games and his love of Doritos.
2008Diablohead said:Every time I see this thread get bumped I hope for castle crashers...![]()
Team XBox seemed to like it but I don't know how much credibility they have around here. At least it's not a licensed game or a half-assed port.PepsimanVsJoe said:Heard too many bad things about Undertow. It looks I'll pass.
Guess it's just as well since my week is swamped anyway.
What? The fact that you get a full-length campaign for your 800 and then have the option to buy two more full-length campaigns that are pretty much entire sequels for like 200 points each is a disgrace? That doesn't make any sense at all.cjelly said:The amount of DLC out for it is a disgrace, though. To buy the game and all the DLC must be close to 2000 points.
