OGM files and Winamp

Right. VLC media player plays it just fine, but I'd much rather continue to use Winamp for everything. It looks like Winamp tries to play it since it locks up for a few seconds, then nothing happens.

How do i convert ogg to say, wav or even wma. The ogg files are of very hiqh quality, what are the chances of them screwing up by converting to a different format?
 
DBpoweramp is usually good for that kind of thing. Convert to wav and then to your favourite codec.

You'll lose quality if you do, AFAIK.

I'm not too crazy about OGM. OGG is not good for hardware based players (not yet, at least) as it hogs too many resources, and if they get too popular, my Philips DVD/divx player will be useless :p

Plus the bitrate for a lot of these files suck.
