The DS makes an excellent alarm clock to ensure you wake up in time to enjoy playing your PSP.
Actually it doesn't. I tried it in a hotel last week, and it seems that the battery runs flat during the night. Luckily wasn't my only alarm.
On the subject matter on hand - congratulations! It'll be good fun if you know what you do. My advice is - having played virtually all of the games in the Japanese and US launch lineups:
1. Get Zoo Keeper. Most addictive puzzle game for ages. Works great with the stylus and is addictive as hell.
2. Import Chokkan Hitofude. Second most addictive puzzle game for ages. Refreshingly different, insanely addictive and again, makes great use of the stylus.
3. Import Sawaru Made in Wario. It's great fun and you can play it without any knowledge of Japanese - almost always you can guess what to do.
4. Get Super Mario 64 DS for the minigames only. The minigames are brilliant, but I was really suprised on how boring the 3D adventure felt now. And playing it with the Nintendo-strap-on is not too hot, either. But the minigames really rock.
5. If you have still money, you might want to check out Feel the Magic from Sega. I would only rent it - it was a big letdown to me, I had probably just too big expectations. Fun for a while, but after the novelty value is gone (after a couple of hours) I haven't played it once.
6. Avoid all other 3rd party content at all costs. At best it's mediocre, but mostly utter crap.
7. Watch out for wear out on the stylus. It can happen in rubbing games and will scratch the screen. Bad.
So, as a summary, you'll be getting THE puzzle/minigame device mainly suited for Nintendo's firstparty stuff. Great fun for quick minigame fixes or long puzzle sessions.
