Kamiya has said that he wants to make a sequel. He just can't do it if Capcom doesn't agree, which is why he's annoyed when people tweet at him instead of Capcom.

She's with Kamiya at Platinum in that tweet. Kamiya was the director of Okami and Ikumi worked on it as a designer I believe. The studio was called Clover, but after Okami came out, Capcom shut them down and the employees from there started Platinum. So the answer to your question is Platinum in co-operation with Capcom, with Kamiya directing.

As long as they fix their end game bits, the "THROW ALL THE BOSSES AT YOU" near the end was really bad.
Otherwise I really enjoyed the game.
I wonder if they're going to have you cooking in it, as they stole all the good parts of the Zelda games of the time and improved upon every aspect of it.

I imported Okami Zekkeiban a while back, having beaten the Wii version before. I stopped right after the first Orochi fight, not out of not liking it but just because it felt like the fourth time I had played it. A sequel with new content and new mechanics at the same level as Platinum's recent work would be amazing.
Also, Ikumi is adorable.
And it's pretty good for a DS game, just rehashy. Chibiterasu is adorbs too.
