There is some bullshit going on in this image. On the left, you can see the top of the ear is very polygonal. On the right it's perfectly smooth. So the left isn't the right image with a wireframe on top, it's the model. The right side is not. You can even see the difference by the skin pores. Without the wireframe it wouldn't look as good, and you can see the missing hair too, which would be difficult to do in 3D.

Just put your hand over the right side of the image and close your eyes a little, it's obviously 3D.

As a result, no, I don't think the interview is CG anymore. They couldn't get that realism in the movement of the face muscles anyway. It's easy to scan a head, but not to get it to move as in the video.

Those are his neck muscles ffs.

An interesting thing to note, in that new Quantic game gif the girls neck shows no movement whatsoever even though she's breathing heavily and turns her head a significant amount. You need to model those muscles, Cagey! Her emotions are falling flat because she's not running on 8GBDDR RAM like Joakim!

I said something similar earlier. This is actually brilliant marketing if you think about it. We're sitting here debating on something seemingly trivial but it has kept the game in the spotlight at a time where they're not looking to show a lot of the game off yet. So they're getting a lot of discussions going without even having to show the game earlier than they want.

Kojima's insanity is CG. Can't you see? These threads are pitting us against one another! Kojima is making us our own critics! Instead of downing the game, we're busy fighting amonsgt ourselves. It's tearing our family apart! When the game comes out, we'll all be too busy debating nonsensical topics that we won't even hate on the game. We'll all play it, paying no mind to tiny flaws, and remember having loved the experience for some illusive reason.

You know, I like this thread, this shows there is still a part of us that wants to be surprised and wowed, a part untouched by cynism and pessimism, a part that still dreams of wonders and expects them, a par that still lives embracing the illusion.
This is not stupid, ths is beautiful.
 
I think the explanation why the lighting is so different is simple:

1- Geoff never interviewed him face to face, no time for it, and it's all marketing so he just filmed his questions in their crappy Gametrailers.com lighting and framing.
2- Joakim is filmed elsewhere by Konami's marketing team, with much more professional lighting/setup.
