Today is the day we celebrate vanity. Gotta do this if you want sex and pre-teen to teenage boys all over admiring you.

This dude is glorified, but he likes and wants the attention even in his death.

Wow, 4 pounds of muscle for the guys working out. 7 pounds for the guys skipping the gym but taking the roids. A whopping 13 pounds for those taking steroids AND hitting the gym.

That's just crazy..

I'm in tears

look at Chestbrah. Iv'e never seen anybody inflate/deflate as much as he did. Most people I know that used steroids are not big fitness buffs, they start lifting on a cycle for a few months, get hulked up than never lift again.

Who is chestbrah? Also pics please.

Had no idea who this guy was, watching some of his youtube videos he seems like a pretty straightup scumbag. He took a dangerous amount steroids and he died; in other news, dog bites man.

If anything he's actually inspired me a little just reading this thread. I used to be 145 lbs at 6' solid all day, all year, for 10 years. Then I broke up with my ex fiance and I spiraled into a pretty deep depression where I would do nothing but go to work and go home and sleep. I dropped to about 125 at my lowest which is abysmally underweight and I decided to do something about that... So I foolishly ate all of the junk I could acquire. Following that I shot up to 200 where I was solidly for about a year or so. I jumped up to a size 34 and started even filling those out to the point of discomfort, but for some reason it still didn't kick in for me that I should do something about my form.
Then I came across that thread about how dudes are being held to an unreasonable level of fitness and well... I agreed when I saw all of these hunked out dudes with mounds of muscle. Then one poster, and I'm remiss for forgetting his name posted a picture of Michelangelo's David and said that it was the perfect form... I sat there just looking at it for about 5 minutes (insert dick jokes here), and said to myself "I can do that."
Since then I've been eating a paleo diet with about one cheat a week and a small bit of really dark chocolate at night. I've gotten back into swinging my kettle bell, started jogging the hilly-ass disc golf course that's near my house (I find running to be the most boring thing in the world, so it's nice to have something that distracts me and acts as rudimentary interval training to boot), and I've been squeezing in squats 20 at a time during bathroom breaks and time spent in the vault at work. It's been a little over a month now and I'm half-way to my ideal weight of 180.
I know this isn't livejournal so I'll wrap it up by saying, that I was just further inspired by reading this thread-- regardless of his substance abuse and all the detractors.

I was looking for that study as soon as the thread was started but couldn't. find it.
Glad someone finally posted it so people could see just how effective steroids are.
I thought it was funny how so many were saying u couldn't just take them and sit on ur ass that it takes hard work........

I neither approve or condone them for personal use that's ur life and ur risk but professional athlete's should definetly not be allowed to use them.

It is interesting that he would regularly take the pre-workout supplement "Jack3d" (now banned in the UK) because it has been linked to the deaths of multiple people, including one 25 year old girl who died from a heart attack while running the London marathon.

A pre-existing condition + steroids + workout supplements = Death

Of course taking steroids adds muscle mass growth. You're just substituting your body's natural production of things like testosterone and injecting external sources. Human males make an average of what, 200 mg of test a week? Injecting 600 mg a week, is giving your body 3x as much.

So yes, sitting on your ass, taking test injections and just doing your normal everyday life routine will add mass and strength.

But you're forgetting what happens when you're off the external testosterone. Since you haven't lifted, not only will your muscles shrink, but you'd effectively lose all gains. People use steroids to supplement their natural ability and go beyond what they can ultimately achieve.

But remember, the group who did no exercise are not all of a sudden going to have ridiculous biceps, chiseled abs and pecs, they've just gotten muscle mass growth. So they just look like a bulkier version of what they were before.

The guys who did it naturally can't hope to get the muscle mass growth, because the body just can't cope, but each of those guys probably looked ten times better.

I'm sorry for double post, but I had to take issue with this. Millions of people have taken Jack3d, 1mr and many other concentrated pre workouts normally without any adverse effects. They took issue with 1,3 di-meth aka DMAA and banned it after she died and they received some other complaints. Do you know how many people die from over the counter drugs like Tylenol, advil, heck even coca Cola? Why aren't those ever banned? I've taken these pre workouts for years (stopped now due to fact I'm off caffeine), but these are generally safe. Certainly safer than millions of things that are allowed for sale everyday.

I still dont see the point of taking steroids if you're just a normal person wanting to work out and be healthy. I totally understand professionals taking it, but for people like us not worth it

Shortcuts. I agree with you 100 percent. Plus quality gear ain't cheap and the most stuff is now made in underground labs, which has questionable quality.

I'm just trying to think how much protein you would have to eat every day to maintain a physique like that. Sounds like it would be a nonstop chore.
