looking insane

gonna be interesting to see what they decide to do with this franchise

Gameplay looks great but they really need to clean up some of the fucked baked lighting in some of those levels. Some scenes in the trailer look amazing whilst others look like every character in the scene is lit with completely arbitrary lighting conditions; they're all over the place.

Looks great, previous trailers were a bit rough, now it's clear that the game is coming up together with great action and atmosphere.

It's more concerning to me that generally Capcom's games seem to have got worse visually since PS4 days.

DMCV looks an order of magnitude better than anything they've shipped on current gen consoles, which is just mental...

This appears to be perfect. They had a simple mission and for once in the history of this god forsaken hobby, they didn't overthink it. They just gave the people what they wanted. A regular ass Onimusha game with modern graphics. Every other big AAA publisher needs to pay attention here. Stop overthinking it. They literally do way more work to make these games bad. Capcom did good here it looks like. Noble Cap bro's rarely miss.

Gamma problems aside of course (get your shit together Cap bro's)

Yeah, something is way off about the gamma. It's like playing a game with terrible HDR implementation. RE didn't have this problem in the footage today.

Art and combat look great, but I'm really confused why the performance looks so shit. This is the exact type of game that RE Engine has been good for in the past (less open world, more corridor/closed spaces). Also some of the textures look kinda bad for what they are.

So the combat is Onimusha x Souls/Sekiro? Atleast that's what it looks like to me, seems alright though. Hopefully the story is as interesting and entertaining as the first four entries, and unlike Devil May Cry 5. DMC5 is such a let down in that department, the game's plot and dialogue writing are just so bland when compared to DMC1, DMC3 and DMC4.

whle everyone goes anal about the lighting, what makes it look exceptional is how it adds animation blending to parry and the way it seems to affect enemy movement, combined with dynamic enemy meshes and will result in gloriously impactful combat. Very interesting. Day one

Sword clash/grind slowdown, looks epic too.
Animations are awsome, the dodge mechanic looks fun to use.

The thing that makes graphics discussion absolutely intolerable on this forum is that many users never ever ever EVER consider what the game is doing as a complete package. A game has to look flawless in screenshots or gifs or it's picked apart.

Case in point the graphics king on this forum is drumroll Hellblade 2. Nevermind that Hellblade 2 had to make a bunches of compromises a mile long to look how it does including barely being a fucking game but hey we can see the main character nostril hairs that other shit don't matter!
