Really cool stuff!! I just say 'Home' and it takes me time homepage. Say 'back' and well you know the rest. You can edit and add commands ofcourse. Just messing around right now. It works really well mixed with mouse gestures for exmaple. Lovely! These browser guys amaze me :D

Its a beta test yet and issues are listed in the link below. 7.54 is the latest official release so dont replace it.

You may need to take afew minutes to just tweak so you dont have to speak too loud etc if you need to like i did. I am using a crap freebie mic. anyways do read the links and check out that IBM demo. You can speak naturally and say i want this that and that and it'll place the ticks in the right spots after you are done!

say 'voice help' to give a list of commands on the go :)

Ha, I just updated to 7.54 yesterday...i'm annoyed with updating with Opera, is it possible for it to carry-over the previous versions cookies and wand/password settings? It's a pain in the ass to have to do that over again each time.

Huh? I've not experienced that problem. I'm using the Windows version.

I'm using windows too...when i download and install a newer version, and then load it, it acts like a brand new program...it doesn't acknowledge any previous versions at all and doesn't install on top of them. I have no idea why the hell that is.

If you want to make sure a new version of Opera will pick up your old settings, you have to install it into the same folder as the old version.

The novelty of voice-recognition wears off very quickly, I assure you.

true most of it is slow compared to quick button presses. But some of it is nice to have. Especially when you browse away from the screen. It saves time when you need to. Just some extra functionality.

I only upgraded to 7.54 a few weeks ago, and it's serving me well. I don't bother with previews or betas...I prefer waiting for the official versions.

Can it take dictation for message board posts?

You mean as in write your posts. I think the board would have to be set up to take advantage of that feature. The same goes for reading a webpage. I think.
