Origin $20 off coupon [Expired - EA states they're honoring games]

I think I'm at around 20 games now.

I didn't even have Origin before this. If they take these games away, Origin is going away too.

If you get that error it means you have to clear your cookies... It's still working fine.
Yeah, I'm using the latest method, and it works fine. It's just that the server doesn't load 99% of the times, and I have to restart the whole process from the beginning. I hate that fucking "No response from application web server" message.

Try another browser. I went from Chrome (which had slowed down) to Opera, and now it's going way faster.

Guys, you need to use that Slickdeals list, but not every game on there is available for this, only the ones that are < $20.01.

Funny thing is, I don't think I can run any of these games. I guess I'll play them in a year when I build.

This only works for EA games right? I'd get Symphony, Alan Wake's American Nightmare, Orcs Must Die, Orcs Must Die 2, Hell Yeah, Sonic 4 Ep 2, and RAW if it works. But I don't want to waste time loading them all to try if they aren't going to.

I'm tempted to get Sims 3 for $9.99 and get some of the expansions for free haha, but I'll probably wait 'till we know what EA thinks of what we did. :p

I don't know why people think they're going to lose their account
EA knows what everyone is doing, why do you think they changed it so you cant add 30+ to your cart and get them in one go
It's kosher, if it wasn't and they were seriously worried about hemorrhaging money through this UNTHINKABLE, INEXPLICABLE PHENOMENON that is people downloading free games, they'd have voided the code, or made it so the minimum amount are now $30 games, not made it so you can only get one per cart

This is way too good to be true. Nothing this good ever happens to me. I'm already convincing myself not to get attached to my free games.

Only EA games have worked for me so far, so I doubt anything not EA will work.

Block them in your firewall, and launch them through the executables instead of through Origin. Unless you care about multiplayer, they really can't take anything away from you at this point.

How long was the THQ Store up for that whole debacle when they had a 100% off coupon code? It's kinda funny that both of them use digitalriver

Can't be good for them!

I can't imagine they are. The most profit they make from Origin is from EA games (since they get all the profit). They're giving away their most valuable content, not including new games.

We are talking about EA here, It's a big company. Something like this can not go unnoticed.

How the hell are you guys getting more games on the same account, I got 2 using the "add to cart then login" method, but after that I've tried like 20 times and every time it gives me the "please choose payment method" and I have to pay... what are you guys doing differently?

Nobody would be buying these anyway. All of these are available elsewhere already and at prices much higher than other vendors (even the SD sale prices suck, except for certain newer games). Perhaps some hardcore EA/Origin loyalist might've bought them, but do those even exist?

I doubt EA cares that much for this whole situation, if it really meant that much for them they would have done something significant to limit the code, I doubt it's really that hard, unless they suck at developing databases, in that case, it's their problem, not ours. :p

They don't get any profit on a storefront that nobody buys games from. This is the same strategy that Ubisoft used selling $1 games on their storefront. It's not going to help them compete with Steam, but I appreciate the effort if it gets me free games.

1. Log out of Origin.
2. Add game to cart.
3. Apply code.
4. Remove game from cart.
5. Log in to Origin.
6. Add same game to cart (price should be $0 now)
7. Complete checkout.
8. Repeat steps 1-7.
