Even though I had it for 360 a few years back, I grabbed it a few weeks ago with some Amazon bundle. There weren't many graphic options if I remember correctly. Wasn't very nice to look at. It just felt clunky and... I don't know.... I didn't feel like I was playing the PC version if that makes sense? I deleted it after a few minutes.

Thank you, I won't waste my time with it then.

seeing that everyone is raving about The Saboteur, I'll just say that it was the worst game I've played in last few years.

I don't think it's as good as people claim it is. It has some technical issues (and isn't that pretty to begin with) and overall felt like a missed opportunity to me, but it's still a fun game for people who like the genre. It still bugs me though that Pandemic never made another game as great as the original Mercenaries. I'd really like to know what went wrong with that studio.

Why on earth are EA so reluctant to reduce BF3 outside the US? I've seen it for $5 on multiple occasions, but even with the current discount, it's £10.49 in the UK.

It's even worse in Norway, it's 244NOK on the Origin store, which is...hold on to something...42USD..

And Sim City...? 104 US Dollar converted. Some of these prices are making me nauseus.

The suits are just taking a piss on us here.

You've misunderstood. The purpose of Origin is for EA to have a direct relationship with its customers. Gifting would involve a harmful middleman! As to why you are region-blocked, you are not one of EA's customers, thus a direct relationship with you is inappropriate. There are many advantages to this approach, for example it ensures that games like The Saboteur will continue to receive post-release patches and new, compelling downloadable content well after release.

I still find hard to believe that people believed that statement. So sad.

I was going to buy a bunch of EA games, but this sale just devalued them all and now I just don't think it's worth my time.

Is there any way for an Australian to get US prices?

*EDIT*
Such a rip.
Saboteur not even available in Australia.
NFS Most Wanted is $40AUD or $15USD.
GRRRRR

Well, got BF2 and 2142 for $10. Not bad.

Kinda wish the BC2 deluxe wasn't $15. I got a physical release for $20 three years back. :/

You can activate your physical copy of BC2 by typing in your cd-key. I don't think it works with every EA game, but I tried it with BFBC2, Medal of Honor and Crysis 2.

Just tried that, won't work for either one. Wanted me to go to an old-school EA.com redeemer which didn't work either.

Talked to EA's Live Chat and they redeemed my
non-Deluxe
CD-key as a Deluxe CD-key.

Not too shabby. :) As much as people love to shit on EA they've been doing alright with me in regards to their Live Help and helping me with issues if they come up.

Now if they sold Battlefield: Vietnam (unless that's included with 2142/BF2's complete?) and the 1942 Expansions I'd have all the BF's released so far on PC.

Now to just get the PC to run them. D:

Good price on NFS Most Wanted. I had a fun time with it on PS3 when I rented it. I'll go back and score attack and achievement hunt on PC.

Criterion are awesome.

Right about now, Microsoft could be doing with a spin doctor like you.

Worth it? I remember playing the 360 version, but I think it felt kind of...unfinished. How's the PC version? It's only Euro 2,49 but I'm not asking if it's worth the money, I'm asking if it's worth playing at all. I already have the Saboteur.

That game is not worth it. I would actually say it's a horrible game. Bought it last summer. Just not fun, glitches everywhere, looks like a PS2 game. Not good.

For anyone trying to buy BF3 through a proxy or whatever, don't do it. It's a fucking pain in the ass and some people have to wait 48 hours to get their order.

Also: it's probably fraud as well, since you would have to use a fake US billing address or something.

Don't do it!

Noooooooo, not at all, not one bit. Campaign was terrible, and there was no later DLC for it.
I think the only people who'd get value out of BF3's campaign are those who WANT to see just how bad you can do a campaign at least while still being an impressive looking AAA game, and anyone in that area probably is well aware of the poor SP anyway. Well, I guess I can't discount anyone who'd just eat this heavily scripted military action movie BS, but what little I tried left me stupefied at just how many QTEs popped up.

Anyways, how is multiplayer JUST for the base game? Or is it practically worthless without the DLC? Already grabbed it ($5!) but I'm curious.

I'm also tempted to get BF3, but wonder if the DLC is really necessary to enjoy it.

The vanilla maps are quite good, but there are some excellent maps in the DLC, along with weapons, vehicles and accesories. The Premium edition also comes with the full class unlocks as well, which will make you more competitive from the start.

Is BF3 worth it for SP content only? How about the DLC, any SP content there?

I did just that. The game has some great moments - which are spoiled overall by some head shakingly bad ones. It's unfortunate, because there's some potential inside there somewhere.

I don't know of any SP DLC, I'm pretty sure there are none.

It's only about 5 hours, right? Seems like it's worth blowing through just to see what it does right and as an example of how to screw up a campaign by attempting to be CoD rather than properly using the systems they have to make a distinct offline experience.

Has anyone ever bought from Origin through a VPN? I was thinking about loggin in and trying to get BF3 from the US site.
