Dunno where else I should post this but I have my Transistor OT ready and I have to wait another two weeks to post it, lol
I've done the same with my Persona 4 Arena Ultimax OT, except I've got to wait about 3 months. Tried to make it look as good as I could and detailed enough since it's my first OT and all.

My Wolfenstein OT has been done but I always feel I need to tweak it in order for GAF to accept it/me D:
I think it's pretty good for a first OT. Hopefully I feel the same once I throw it out to the wolves.
i'm watching you
i'm watching you
Lord help you if it's text embedded in images and if you indent too much it'll look weird and unreadable in mobile!DDD:
We're adding rumors now?
lol
I only have 3 weeks and I'm not even close to finish my Mario Kart 8 OT
But Nemesis_ ! You ARE adding myths to the list such as Final Fantasy XV, AGENT and Half-Life 3!lol
I still have some work to do on Watch Dogs... at least the banner is done. Luckily, there's some cool artwork on the official site that might help me.
i think i posted this a while ago but its always come in handy
1. in chrome right click and pick inspect element on a web page
2. go to the resources tab, and expand the frames folder
3. the images menu has all the images on that site for you to save
4. the fonts menu has the font files the game site/page is using
5. save the font file, and upload it here
6. download the ttf file which you can use on your pc
you have to put the text inside the image in photoshop, its the only way you're able to freely position stuff wherever you want. the main thing is ensuring its legible without squinting, hence the large-ish font size.
the background and pretty much everything else was from the official website, ii got it using the method above.
the linked sections are done using slices in photoshop - it ends up with spaces between each image when previewing, but when you click post it all lines up as it should.
the only downside is it doesnt display correctly on mobile gaf, its ok on tablets but my iphone makes it too small, but its not a huge issue.

Do you use rulers for the text and images?
As seen in: http://abload.de/img/newfullpagebordered03riqzu.png all the text and images are all evenly and stuff
And I tried the website trick for Child of Light and you were damn right, you can find pretty much everything in there I didn't find your background though
Whenever I get around to properly redesigning the OT I might make a thing of tips like this, it's very handy
no rulers, just align it as best i can. i think CS6 has a little pop up when you're moving stuff telling you how much you've moved it, it helps a little.
and yeah the background wasn't on that site, i saw some wallpapers on google images and just removed the logo from this one to make it into a background

Not sure if you have seen this already but there's shitloads of artwork here and most of it is cut-out perfectly already.

Online is pretty vague and gameplay is somewhat vague, but we know pretty much everything about Battle Mode.Yeah, I've been using some of the artwork. I'm dealing with the game's info the most.
Nintendo has been vague as fuck about online, battle and gameplay in general.
I'm still not sure if I'll use text or images for it though I think text would be better in case I need to fix something.
Dawg, we'll be watching you in the Watch Dawgs, thread :VI still have some work to do on Watch Dogs... at least the banner is done. Luckily, there's some cool artwork on the official site that might help me.
Wow, that's actually really helpful. I don't think GIMP has anything like that.no rulers, just align it as best i can. i think CS6 has a little pop up when you're moving stuff telling you how much you've moved it, it helps a little
Whoops! I mixed that up. Thanks!Just a quick observation, the date is supposed to be the day you made your post not the day it is supposed to be released. So both should be [4th May 2014]
i used your 1000px width advice, i hope my OT doesn't look bad on mobile!
It will.
We should stop using images (aside from screen shots) in OTs in general mainly for this reason.

I think the common criticism for the last few years from some people is that OTs don't need to look like bloated PRfests because they're threads for boards for people to discuss stuff and people aren't going to look at the OP again past page 2. As harsh as that may sound, that's the reality of it.It will.

Well, since the first OT for console screenshots is kinda mine, I'm claiming the second one here.
Will the current one be closed with 200 pages? We're almost there.
I usually just use an old-ass post to edit what it looks like in post-form instead of using Preview Post so I can get the right dimensions for everything.Btw is everyone just dumping their code in a post and then previewing it without posting to check their progress?
