Ouch! Asphalt Urban GT Review

It offers the bare minimum of enjoyment for a racer, but other than its visuals that must be seen in order to appreciate, this game certainly isn't going to sell people on the benefits of the Nintendo DS system.
No surprise here. Racing friends are gonna look elsewhere (PSP).

Oh well, it's not like I was ever gonna get the game.

Can't wait for the DS titles which haven't been rushed to launch.

Just watched the video. Why anybody would submit themselves to crap like that is beyond me. I'm probably just disgusted by how the engine sound is so unrealistic.

I would say ps2. Racinggames require concentration, concentration requires silence and no distractions, something you just ain't goin to find ín a ''portable'' enviroment.

It's an N-Gage and cell phone game. What did you all expect? ;)

I'm certainly not buying it now though. :)

I honestly must say, the best responses in these threads are from those who really hyped for the poor games. Not to be rude or anything, but why is a number letting turning you completley off to a game you're excited for? I can understand realizing some things about a game you didn't know, but just looking at the number doesn't seem like reason enough to me.

Anyways, I felt the same as I did about Spiderman. Nice to look at, could care less otherwise. I'm no racing fan, so if games like RR PSP and GT4 PS2 can't grab my attention... this was never going to be called into question.

Is it just me or does IGN's biggest complaint about the GAME PLAY seem to stem from the replays? Weird.

For as much shit as this game has taken, I'm surprised it even scored a 7. I was expecting it to be <= 6.8

IGN gave it a 5.5.

I just downloaded one of their game play videos, and it doesn't look that bad to me actually. Maybe I'll eat my words and give it a try anyway.

The score is the most shocking part of the review. The poor touchscreen design was obvious from the screens, and the unbalanced vehicles pretty obvious from impressions.

i found it odd that there was no review for the sound. i only recall hearing some in-game music which sounded pretty good, but no sound effects. Honestly, the review feels almost as rushed as the game.

i had decided not to get Asphalt GT until i got to actually play it, and it looks like i'll stand by that decision. Here's looking to RR DS, which looks like it'll score in the sevens (if scores count for anything).

In your haste to do some damage control, you didn't even look at the URL? Wow.

He probably has his forum settings to automatic bot reply. It cycles between that and zzzzzzz every other time.
