I find this game like Smash: I can't just pick one character. Too much goodness, my love must be shared!

How people can use only one character in games that feature soooo many is beyond me, except of course you're playing for money, which even still match-ups are important enough to learn/play more than one character lol.

How would one set this up in Overwatch? I would love to have a soundboard of NBA Jam and Dota 2 voicelines lol.
A friend uses Voicemeeter Banana for that. Super fun free software. There is also this: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=463540816

Still at 200/400. She dies faster than she did at launch to Tracer/Soldier.
Exactly why are they so stubborn with keeping these changes for D.Va? Ana is/was the primary issue.

Noob question: I just started playing Zarya and she's quickly becoming my favorite hero. I just want to know if maybe I'm not efficiently using her shields. It seems that when I pop my own shield it goes down really fast. Do I need to hold down the shield button on the controller or is there some other factor that increases shield duration?

You don't have to hold the button down or anything. Both the self and projected barriers last for 2 seconds, but can be broken quicker by enemy fire. 200 damage will break a shield, but give Zarya the maximum charge value possible out of it.

Thanks. Seems hard to get her charge up with only two seconds and 200hp to work with. Guess I'll have to keep at it.

It's harder to get charge than it used to be. She was nerfed not too long back to get less charge per shield. She used to be able to get a maximum of 50 charge per shield.

The charge also deteriorates more quickly than it did before, too.

Good to know that as soon as I hit SR 3000 everyone starts playing like complete dogshit again. I think I am done with competitive for this season, it's been so terrible from day one anyways.

I play Zarya a lot and I think I am somewhat decent with her.

What you want to do with the projected barrier is use it on team mates that are engaging the enemy. Winston is a great example because he can jump in the middle of the action and you want to coordinate with your Winston team mate so either he puts his shield and afterwards you shield him with projected barrier, or shield him right away and then let him do whatever.

Also, putting projected barriers on team mates that got hooked by roadhog or pinned by enemy Reinhardt. I have saved so many team mates with projected barriers. Shielding tanks has been satisfying and a fast way to get energy since they are always taking damage.

For yourself, you want to shield when you are being constantly attacked. I have seen some Zaryas use their shields when there was no one around attacking them, lol.

Yeah..when I first started using her I would hit the shield the moment I engaged with an enemy. It's like playing Genji in a sense. Use their offense against them. Anyway, I'm sorta disciplining myself to only use it once I'm taking fire. The Winston tip is great except I haven't come across too many Winston players on PS4...at least not in my rank bracket and there's rarely any communication.

I'm reticent to take her out in ranked because I hate to learn the ropes when it could cost others their season standing, but I might have to do that since that's the only console mode where at least one other teammate is talking.

Thanks for the tips.

after hitting level 50 on PS4, here's my assessment.

Pros:
Easy to play casually
No cheaters
looks about the same as PC version
lower skill players all around
Trophies

Cons:
Controller Aiming makes characters like mcree, widowmaker, genji, hanzo, and sombra less useful.
Console teammates love picking hanzo and widowmaker and contributing very little to the team.(If you're skilled as them, fine, but don't pretend like using a controller for a precise aim character doesn't start you at a disadvantage)
Console teammates hate playing healer and I can go 10 matches in a row without one if I don't play healer.
Console teammates never talk. I am level 50 and played a range of quick play, arcade, and competitive, and never heard a single player say a single word in a game.
Console players tend to quit games quickly when they aren't going well. This makes competitive really tough to play since many games will be forfeited.

Overall I'm enjoying it now that I just play quick play and I'm going for trophies but I don't think the game is viable on console. The playerbase isn't smart enough on the whole to support anything but a super casual, basic overwatch experience, and their near total rejection of voicechat and teamwork makes it impossible to play the game as it's designed to be played.

Hey guys, I recently decided to buy Overwatch for me and my brother on pc, but I'm not really familiar on where to get it for the cheapest price for both of us. Any of you guys know the best storefront to get it from?

I wonder what the split is across platforms. I have it on PC but kinda want the PS4 version as well just to play on the big TV.

I'm at level 61 or 62 and I agree with almost all of this. Guess I'll have to double dip and pick it up on PC as I really like the game.
