Seriously, fuck mini-games. I want something holistically cohesive, not a bunch of trivial and poorly-designed novelty tasks. One Wario Ware was enough.
Drinky Crow said:Amir0x: Fuck that noise. Y'know what I play on my GBA SP? The epic 2D shit lazy-ass fucking devs can't be bothered to develop for consoles. The Fire Emblems, the Minish Caps, the Tactics Ogres. All of these can be played in short bursts when the devs bother to implement a decent save/sleep system. Fuck, gimme some good puzzlers over this shallow mini-game shit.
Good lord.Drinky Crow said:Mama Smurf: Yes.

Fuck mini-games. Now that devs have figured out that a certain shitheel segment of the gaming population will pay the dollars for shallow, once-off masturbatory exercises in controller twiddling and OMG Japanese zaniness!!!!, we can expect more handheld dev resources to go towards shit like this and Feel the Magic than a smartly-designed puzzler or 2D epic product. Boo.

Actually I would argue that this game looks far more interesting than anything put on a console in the last five years. Yes, DS owners may be hunger but that doesn't warrant dismissing this game because you have a huge piece of wood up your ass.MrAngryFace said:Hunger is the best spice, and it appears DS fans are FUCKING HUNGRY.
There is something to be said about the visual aesthetic of a game though. And that goes a long way when differentiating games from other visual mediums. I don't think any game does this better than Pac-Man, with the exception of a few Imagic games such as Atlantis and Demon Attack.MrAngryFace said:Nintendo fans could be led into a lake of lava with only the promises of bright colors.
