Pacific Mall- What Xbox Arcade Stick to buy??

And know the shop? (cross-section would be good)

To ASM: I know I know I should get the MAS, but I need a temporary solution right now to play SFAC until I go back to Cali and can order one like you told me to.

Pacific Mall in Toronto?

They don't have ANYTHING for Xboz. Unless you know something I don't know, in which case, you better share it. :D

They also don't seem to have anything close to decent in terms of arcade sticks either for that matter.

You should totally just "hack" a Xbox gamepad PCB and build one from scratch. Literally, the hardest part is finding the case to build it into, SRK guys, busy as they are, should be set up to make them in short order.

Guess this doesn't help your short term needs. Umm... you could buy one of those damn Nuby's SF:AC sticks that people insist on making threads about. Or the Hori. Deal with what lag (if any) the converter brings for the time being, and afterwards, when you have ordered\built a better stick, you still have a respectable Japanese stick to fool with too.

Are those good? I mean, I wouldn't mind using an adapter (in which case, any adapter recommendations??)
I've had it for a while now, its pretty close to the actual arcade controls, but the RAP is better. That thing's so damn expensive though.

Maybe I'll just go with the SFAC Nuby stick if it's just a temp solution so I don't have to spend the extra money on the adapter. But look for a message/thread/email come feb.

Kabuki
Yup, the arcade.

Gygas
What's the RAP?

Yeah you won't find much Xbox crap there. They've got Hori SCII sticks for PS2 for $50 though.
$50? Yikes.

They're $20 downtown.

EDIT: Actually, those are the Nuby controllers that are $20, my mistake.

The Nuby universal one right? The one with black palm rest things?

Here's the stick I'm talking about:

FatGhost28: Amusement and also some place down at the Northwest (I think) end called Softmart.

Amusement also has the Hori Tekken 4 sticks which are the same thing, except with better art and colors (imo) but I heard it had compatibility problems with SFAC for some reason so I got the SCII one.

Darkgiygas: You wouldn't happen to know where I could find a PS2->Xbox adapter that'll work with the SC2 stick, would you? I bought one online that works with a standard PS2 dual shock controller, but doesn't with the stick.

Man, that Fighting Stick EX looks really sweet, the shipping is killer though. I might just go with a Hori SC2 stick and dragonbox adapter.

It all looks too small and plastic to me; just too big a fan of slanted wooden cases I guess.

Since they are both Hori, why go with a Hori + adaptor (X factor) versus a Xbox Hori with no adaptor? I admit I should have brought this stick up earlier, but I just don't pay attention to them anymore.

The SC2 stick does feel pretty nice though, mainly the buttons, the stick still feels loose to me. But I did get my ass kicked once by a better Taki than I who was using one.

Strictly as a temp solution to Xbox SF3rd, the Hori which doesn't need adaptors is a smarter move; but if you do move to a custom-ish Xbox stick later on, I'd think you'd get more use out of having the PS2 Hori than another Xbox stick... unless you have visitors.
