I finally watched this movie all the way through yesterday. It really surprised me. I wasn't expecting it to be good, and I wasn't expecting to actually feel for the characters like that. The story of a relucatant criminal might not be original, but I bought it here. I'm not usually into hood movies but this was good. And the climax with

Damn I was supposed to make apost about this movie a couple weeks ago. This has to be the best movies in a while. Sucks it didn't get a big time release, and even f it did it wouldn't have gone ove well with the majority as they would have seen it as a black ganster film. Mieki(sp) Phifer is the shit, better than anything Denzel could crap out, yeah that's for Bishop and his Denzel loving ass. It had that sort of Coolie High feeling to it. If anyone on in this thread hasn't seen it I command you to do so immediatly, you will be amazed.

My niece watches this movie like every day. When I saw Cam'Ron on the box the first thing that popped into my head was "Bad movie with rappers". Is it really good? Damn, might have to borrow it from her.

The commentary on the DVD is very insightful.

What I really love about the movie is how it captured NY the way it was when I grew up in Harlem.

The pacing this season is a lot different.

Are you saying you didn't like it?! They totally flipped the script with season II. The docks were on some workingman-getting-fucked shit, which is always interesting (and heartbreaking) to witness. I miss Ziggy and I bet Ziggy misses not being pounded in the ass on a daily basis.

The pacing this season is a lot different.

That's what I love about the show! Each season has been so different in tone, even as it shares the same storylines. I wonder where they could go from here, though? McNulty is dead to Daniels, the Stringer vs. Avon showdown is coming really fucking soon and Omar? Omar is the wild fucking card!
