Seriously, I don't think I've ever had tastier pizza from a chain. I would go as far as saying it's some of the best pizza I've ever had. My god, it's just amazing.

Can anyone else attest to this?

I tried finding an image online but I guess none exist. It seems to be something only available in New England for whatever reason.

I have a place here in beautiful Lawrence KS called "papa kino's" that has great pizza.

It is likely a different place then you are describing, but I thought since it is only one letter off I might as well mention it.

Wow, I apologize. Apparently Papa Gino's is only a big chain on the East Coast anyways.. 200 locations in NH, MA, RI, ME, and CT... my bad! But either way it's still a chain :P

I haven't had Papa Gino's in the past 6-7 years. It was delicious, sadly I don't one close to me any more.

Not your bad. West Coast people here have orgasms over In-N-Out.

Papa Gino's is really great, usually, yeah. Crust so chewy it can hurt your jaw. So good.

Also, D'angelo, their sandwich chain, is fantastic, and easily the best chain sub shop there is.

Is the correct answer.

Definitely the best Pizza chain. This thread'll turn into which is the best singular restaurant in some hole in New York or Chicago but let me just get that out the way. I love the pizzas spiciness. Their steak and cheese pizza is also HNNNGGG worthy.

I grew up eating Papa Gino's. My young self thought the barbecue chicken pizza was revolutionary when they first introduced it. I liked all their food, actually — I remember their bread (for subs) and fries being great as well. I'm a pizza snob now, but I haven't forgotten my roots.

Unfortunately, the last time I ate there was a couple of years ago (and before that, it had been like ten years or so). I don't know if it was just all the grease or what, but it fucking destroyed me. I don't know if I'd want to go back again.

Still, nothing is as devastating as Cici's if you're talking chain pizza.

I thought Papa Gino's was grade F awful last I ate there in 2004. Their sister franchise D'Angelo's was terrible too.

Did it get better or something?

Papa Ginos - One of the best local chain pizzas - Correct

Rustic Pizza - One of their best pizzas - God, no.

The pizza is gross and one of the messiest things you can order. Their traditional crust is far more appealing.

Love Papa Gino's. Haven't had the rustic pizza though. Usually just get a lunch special, two slices and a side salad or a chicken ceaser salad. Both are delicious.

My favorite pizza chain doesn't exist in the US

Of course a pizza with such an unholy theme would never fly in the US, especially after their ads had stuff like this

It's a shame because it's REALLY good pizza.

It's what I read the OP as too,

I remember hating Papa Gino's the last time I had it.

I don't really like any pizza chains, but I can tolerate Domino's when I don't have the money to get something decent or I need to get pizza for a large group.

I haven't been to a Papa Gino's in 10 years but I remember it being really amazing. Used to go there all the time when I lived in Massachusetts, but I have yet to see one here in Atlanta. Can't remember much about their Rustic though so it probably wasn't all that great.
