Yes! Finally an official confirmation! Loved the free beta, totally getting this. The FAQ says the story mode has a total of 20 different endings, and an Endless Mode which is non-scripted, is unlocked after beating the game. :D

The developer posts here too I believe. <3

Excellent! Papers Please is miserable fun. I love it.

Okay, indie devs, if you could decide to not all release your game on 8/8, my paycheck would appreciate it. Do we have a deal?

I'll check this out. I saw the announcement on GOG and it seems interesting. I remember talk about it a while back but I never checked it out.

I'd bet we have the biggest community of people on the Internet that are looking forward to this game :p

Yes! This game is amazing!

It's also the only game my fiance has ever continued to play once I left the room (and I've tried to get her into just about everything non-action). It seems this brilliant, quirky game actually has broad appeal.

What was the page we need to check to see if your name got in? remember that it would notify us on that page upon release, right?

What are the differences between the retail version and the beta?

Going to check out the beta in a couple minutes.

The beta isn't finished. It was a work in progress put up to allow us to play around with it. I remember it just ending, and all the supporting gameplay systems were just window dressing with no purpose. But it does give a good sense of the gameplay though. I was surprised how much fun it was to be an immigration clerk in a third world country!

Thanks guys.

I'm actually still checking names but will have to stop soon to make the final build. The "did my name get in" page probably won't go up until after release.

The only one I can say for sure that's in right now is Messof Anegovych, who got a permanent speaking role for his early support of the game.

You got me, I have never heard of this. The trailer didn't revel much.

Do you... play this game? Or watch it? Wats this

Think of it as one of those restaurant management games.

But instead of cooking and serving people things, you are a border guard in a soviet state who has to make life and death choices based on the paperwork presented by those trying to enter your state. Oh, and if you fail enough in your job your son will starve to death.

Thanks guys.

I think I never even applied for it. Derp. Ah well, cant have everything. Good luck with the release! Gaf will buy a few copies on release I bet ;)

Thanks for the reply, take your time, 27k is a ton of names to check!

I'm excited to play the game, but even more excited so find out if my name got in! :D

Yessssss, I played through the free beta at least 10 times. It was just so hypnotically monotonous. I loved the emotions and atmosphere the whole thing put together.

Also I love clever urls.

hope the whole home management part is revamped. i still was confused at times if i was checking to pay the house bills or to not pay the bills.

and hopefully some keyboard commands are implemented. the game is suppose to be a 'simulation' of sorts. having some keyboard shortcuts for the manual thing makes sense. its not like irl you only have 1 hand.

The night management screen is largely the same as the beta, with some minor polish.

There are keyboards shortcuts (of sorts), but it's not quite that simple and I've said too much already.

Yes! Saw the developers twitter say the game was basically finished but needed polishing and bug fixing about two weeks ago or so. Glad to see he meant it, my friend will be ecstatic.

.....but WTF. Spelunky, Guacamelee and now this on the same day?
