Path of Exile 2 Early Access |OT| An Exile like ARPG.

I would prefer they just reset all skills and inventories, while keeping the same level. Then you go through new endgame content with a new build.

If they're going to keep the current system, there needs to be new things during the old acts. Like bosses using new moves or transforming.
You cannot do that. Is like buying level 80 character in World of Warcraft. You are now in endgame, but dont know the skills, the synergies and dont have gear.
The campaign is there for your to learn and experiment builds. The length of this process is another discussion, but being able to drop directly on endgame is not a good idea.

I am a Long time Diablo fan and now just getting into the original POE. I want to try this one but don't want to pay $30 for an unfinished game. I hope to try it out upon release or I get lucky with a key.
The game in the stage it is has better content than all arpgs on the market, except PoE1. Calling it unfinished just because is EA is a bit to much. If they drop the EA now and make it free, no one will call it unfinished.

Made me laugh because im running that Deadeye build without knowing its "meta" and quickly found out how obscene it is. Video is spot on. I'm a bit squishy (start act 4) but the damage output is way OP.

Bit boring if im being honest been running the same 2 skills since Act 1.

Game need a few balance passes for sure.

I lost access to the game on my other PSN profiles.

It was working fine before and actually most of my characters were on a secondary profile (not the main PSN account which I bought the game on)

Had a look on Reddit and official forums and looks like it's normal. Why would they do this for an eventually free game? Fuck them.

Shitty, but curious as to why you'd be playing the game across different accounts?

Have multiple PS5, different accounts for different regions, play with my kids, gave them some old accounts.

It was working well before and I'm not the only one in that case. It's just a bad practice and it feels unnecessary greedy. Meanwhile Borderlands 4 will come out soon and will be able to play with kids no problem with one copy of the game like every other game on PlayStation that you happen to buy. PoE2 is supposed to be free lol

yeah trying new stuff with your existing character, with its same name and look (perhaps also with the same abilitys, weapons ect.), but with this system you cant.
Pretty much all ARPG's follow this template. You can always just stay in last season and play with all the improvements. They don't force you to start over.

Quick question- does anyone know if they've updated the couch co-op at all since launch? I start it with the GF, however the shared loot scenario really just slowed things down too much so we gave up. I thought the intent was to implement some kind of personalised loot system, but I can't seem to find any info anywhere re: updates specifically for couch co-oper's like myself...

Lots of recent negative reviews on Steam,. I wonder why?
No idea but you have reviews like this dude with 600 hours in the game. I don't take Steam reviews seriously.

Think the patch has been well received outside of the usual reddit moans.

So how does the guild stash work? Are the items there for loan?
Just take what you need and stick it back in when you have finished with it. Not sure how Rentahamster Rentahamster has it set up just now as im SSF again but you can pretty much take/use whatever you need within reason. IE don't take all the unique's and sell them for cocaine never to be seen again lol.

And if you find anything cool that you don't need then of course stick it in there for others to use.

That makes sense. I've taken a couple of things but donated a bunch too.

Act 3 could use some trimming come release. I like it in general but some of the areas are fucking needlessly massive.

Act 4 tonight.

GGG Cooked hard this season, Act 4 and the interludes are great, many new bosses, just started mapping yesterday, haven't died once since league start, think that's a new record for me lol, helps that i'm missing a lot of the new bosses skills since they die too fast.

Playing a Witchhunter grenadier, the damage is crazy and it scales really hard with the ascendancies, very squishy but with that damage you can spend points into defence and still one shot.

Also trying a lightning mana mage with a good amount of damage taken from mana first (haven't allocated the points there yet), it's much worse than my grenadier but it's also fairly fun, i'll make it work somehow i hope

Use what you need - upgrade it, craft on it, corrupt it, socket it, do whatever you want. When it's time for an upgrade, put it back so someone else can use it later. The end goal is to have the guild stash be mostly full of useful gear. That means -

Movement speed on all boots
Decent resists on most items
High phys damage on martial weapons
High + to spell skills on wands and staves
+ minion skills on helmets and scepters and amulets
Flat added damage, life, mana, resists on rings
High armor/evade/energy shield on armor
+ automatically gains charges on flasks
As many uniques as can fit in our unique stash tab

Lol
Yah, it never made sense to me, to play a game for over 100hrs and then give it a negative review.

Would love to be in a position where I could horde ex but drops are abysmal for me rn 💀 only end of act 4 but man I hope it gets better.

Drops have been pretty good for me, but I have been using around 50% item rarity increases on my gear, plus I have been playing in parties, which increases drop rates too.

One way that has been good for me to make money is to sell artificer's orbs, and the weapon/armor upgrade materials for exalts on the currency exchange.

I also keep my white items and sell them for 1 ex or 1 vaal or 1 alchemy using the new vendor trade mechanic. It's super easy. Then I take all my currency and trade for chaos orbs, which will hold its value more over the long term.

what whites would you recommend i sell off? I do have a white sea glass spear sitting in my inv

White Heavy Belts for sure. I consistently sell them for 3 or 4 chaos orbs. People like to use chance orbs on them in the hopes of getting a Headhunter belt.

Any other white belts usually sell fast for 1 vaal. White wands and scepters, especially Rattling Scepters, are good too. Those sell pretty fast for around 1 to 2 Vaal.

I'd also recommend one of Neversink's loot filters. This one will give you a good idea as to what's good.

Press the follow button, then in game, go to your loot filter settings, and you should be able to load this filter to use yourself.

And I just logged in to find 20 vaal orbs in my merchant. Feels good!

So should I bother to play POE (never played), or just jump into POE2?

That depends. Do you like playing for free? Play PoE1.

If you want to play with us and have access to the guild stash, play PoE2. If you want better graphics, play PoE2. If you are really crazy into theorycrafting and want to go balls deep in math, play PoE1. If you like a challenge, either is fine.

your definitely not alone. from getting kicked from game to crazy game freeze. its been really annoying., and its like the game is setting me up.. every time I'm at a boss, or some abyssal.

It is though. It's far from perfect but it's not an unplayable mess either. Of course ymmv if you're highly susceptible to performance problems.
I hope I won't be accused of defending GGG as some on here are just delusional with these topics, but give them time. Their track record isn't good on console with PoE1, but 2 is much more mainstream oriented... And since they pivot with some hardcore ideas and ideologies they had over the years (trading, not nerfing in the middle of a league etc) they might have the bigger picture in mind, which of course includes optimisation/performance. If they're just not capable then we're shit out of luck ✌🏻

Yeah, after playing 0.3 up to lvl31 on PS5, performance for me is definitely worse. So the talk about engine optimisations in the Q&A wasn't directed at the PS5 at least...
The load times are worse, long times with the gear screen in town, you're able to move but can't see. Stutter in different areas, while fighting, after inventory or passive tree screen.
It's just not good. Still playing because the game itself is just pure addiction, 0.3 made many good changes. But performance is abysmal.

Anyone playing on PS5 Pro?
I am. Performance with PSSR at "Performance" profile and DRS off (IQ is way better with low impact to fps) are very good so far. Better than previous season at least. With Icicles and Meteors it gets wild but quicky goes back to 60+. There are a lot of dips though...

Yesterday was awful for me, stuttering all over the place, CPU&GPU usage are low, ping is good, still stuttering was really bad... I'm the only getting worse perf after the b hot fix

Changing servers usually fixes that for me.

The prison area in Act 4 is one of the most beautiful areas in the game, in any game actually. Lovely stuff.

Gonna try that this afternoon
I was in the prison Act 4 last night and it was doing exactly what you describe, changing from Milan to Frankfurt, with similar ping sorted it out straight away. EU servers are not the best although they did say they upgraded a bunch.

I'm on Milan too, gonna switch, ping was great (20ms) but still unplayable due to stuttering

Just keep switching until you find one that works best.

I do wish they had an offline league like Last Epoch. I'm usually on terrible work internet and unable to play most of the time when I'm away. It's only luck that I'm in the right place at the right time just now.
