Path of Exile 2 Early Access |OT| An Exile like ARPG.

In the PoE1 livestream just now they announced that async trade is also coming because of how successful it was in PoE2. Chat is going nuts.

I was pleasantly surprised how well it worked. Such a huge change usually means bugs for many game developers.

the trading in this game is really different.
the economy is different as well.
there is times in the game were the drops are good. but now im at a point where drops are happening but there is nothing good. In comes the currency and buying shit from players.
Which is cool. But I really miss the hype of having something dropping and being excited to have it identified.
The game has this sound too when something that's suppose to be good drops. But just leaves me with broken dreams

I play SSF mostly and the drops have been alright, crafting helps out a ton once you get your head around it.

I don't really like buying gear. Feels like a different game.

what is the difficulty like on this game? is it hard?

give me the lowdown

Generally speaking though its harder than your regular ARPG,s. You'll need to learn the patterns with the majority of bosses. Depends on your build it can be really hard if you hit a wall.

Its excellent, this season has been a blast. Good time to jump onboard if you are thinking of giving it a try, but the season has been running a while. Think the next one is in December.

We are now in the third month of the Rise of the Abyssal League in Path of Exile 2, and you may be wondering when to expect the next big release.

We are still on track with our 4-month release schedule and are currently planning to launch the 0.4.0 Content Update in early December. We will reveal the livestream and release date very soon, so keep an eye on the news.

The ongoing Rise of the Abyssal League will end in a few weeks. After that, your characters and their items will be migrated to the Standard or Hardcore Early Access league. There will not be any wipes, so once migration is complete, you can play your characters in the Standard/Hardcore Early Access league.

We can't wait to show you what we've been working on! Stay tuned!

Played on release. Thought it was a very challenging, but also very fun game. Extremely fun even, saw the dawn a few times while playing it lol.

Didn't feel my deaths were "unfair" until the post-game, where I could die by walking over shit that was barely visible. I think those annoyances must have been fixed by now.

Hamster form when???

I'm about to start a new job in January but have unused vacation time for this current job.

As with the launch of poe2, probably time to take a week off for this league and go full goblin mode.

Armor was buffed a lot in 0.3. There were some pretty tanky Warbringer and Titan builds.
Still too far from ES, the highest level Titans on HC are mostly Energy Shield based, pretty much every class on the Dex starter zone (bottom right side) is moving up to the top side to get these ES nodes.

The bottom side starters are the nichest ones because they are too far from ES, and even most Witchhunters or gemling are moving aaaall the way up to the ES nodes too.

Armor is fine, Life isn't when outside of maybe Titan, most non Energy Shield builds are capping at around 2-2,5K hp and energy shield builds can easily get 8K EHP (Life + ES).

Leveled a deadeye and stacked some ES nodes and i ended up being quite tanky, like 1,7k HP plus 5-6K Energy Shield, i also leveled a Witchhunter, stacking more defence nodes than the Deadeye (Armor and Armor+Eva) and i had like 2k HP and that was it, tankiness was day and night between these characters.

Next character is Druid (Top left side of the tree), if nothing changes, watch all of them say "fuck you" to the armor nodes and rush the top side of the tree for these broken ES nodes

Loads of armor, but 3k HP is shit, even with a completed char, at almost lvl 100, his max phys dmg tankable hit is 8k, and only like 20-25k for elemental damage, there are lvl 60s focusing on Energy Shield with higher max hits.

That build is great versus lots of small phys hits, which sadly in PoE1-2, normally don't matter at all.

In PoE 1 the average life player with armor is at like 6-7k HP and they have the best basic defensive layer (Molten Shell), which adds 10/20% of your armor as a shield up to 5k HP shield, and the average Energy Shield character has 10-12k?

In PoE 2 the average Energy shield has also 10-12k more or less, but average life player is at 3-4k life and no def layer like Molten Shell.

Huge diff that explains why even Deadeyes are all stacking ES, well, even the highest lvl warriors in HC just stack it too.

I don't disagree that ES is overpowered. My main build in 0.3 was hybrid ES/evasion. I was responding to the notion that armor builds can't be great. Armor is a lot more complicated than ES, and while you can stack ES nodes and call it a day, the way to make armor work is a lot more complicated.

And you can stack enough mitigation and sustain in order to tank normal Arbiter fire explosions.

Yes i think armor is fine, Life still needs some more sources to increase it a bit further, but yes the main problem is that ES is just too op, even more when there's no life nodes in the tree, and it "forces" players that care about not dying and don't have GG gear to go for it, even if their class isn't... supposed to take it.

I just dont want to see how a Deadeye is 2x times tankier than a Witchhunter just because they are a bit closer to the ES part of the skill tree, specially early on, taking 10 Energy Shield nodes in campaign and using ES gear kinda trivializes it compared to going HP and taking Armor or Evasion.

Wouldn't mind if they dont nerf life or armor if they at least nerf ES quite a bit, otherway i'll just prob go for a Druid if it looks fun, rushing some ES stuff to not die until maps

Haven't played this for fkn ages. That guild stash is a godsend. Thanks heartily to those who have maintained it.

Are leagues basically the same as d4 seasons? Do i need to play it differently or anything?

It's very hard but also very rewarding once you figure out your build. Nothing feels better than making a few build tweaks and going from lower tier end game maps to higher tier ones.

It can be incredibly frustrating if you can't figure out how to fix it and don't have enough currency to trade to buy items to pivot.
