PCs are better than consoles argument tree

This argument is just getting boring now.

People who play solely on consoles probably don't have the money to build a PC.

Those who have a PC have the money to build that PC and subsequently have done so.

I also think it's a poor decision to build a PC at a similar budget to PS4/Xbox One. Just my opinion but it makes very little sense to me.

If you're serious about gaming and have the money, you build a PC, no question.

That's about it.

Jesus, that does suck.

And yeah, I agree that perhaps the entire discussion is 100% pointless. If you're interested in the act of making a PC, then the whole thing is a non-issue. But if all you're interested in is playing a videogame, then consoles might be a better choice. If you're somewhere inbetween, it'll be a lot more awkward figuring it out. And I guess that's the player our discussion is aimed at.

That's precisely it. Different needs heed different decisions. There really shouldn't be much confusion. For those on the fence, they need to educate themselves. Forums tend to be to volatile to sift genuine advice from bias.

Most large PC shops here built and test PC for free. You just have to select the components. This fallacy of how hard building is is just that, fallacy. I have been PC gamer for 20 years and I never built my PC, nor did I ever buy some super expensive prebuilt. Always picked my own components and let professionals handle it. I do upgrade it myself though, replacing GPU, memory or HDD is easy.

If youre going that far, just put the whole thing together.

This whole "pcs are hard to build from ground up" is getting old.

Seriously, putting a processor into a socket, screwing down a motherboard and mounting components is NOT hard.

See, this is the kind of shit which is getting my goat ITT. You're presuming so much esoteric knowledge and understanding here.

See my following post for a genuine, layman's first-time building a PC experience:

It was hard.

so many people on this site buy ikea furniture. that is harder than building a pc

it's time consuming, but not difficult (unless you're blind)

I built my gaming rig around April, drop a good chunk of $$ into it, few months later sitting in my office ready to be torn apart and sold off. Why? Played games fine, just can't get into it. Something about consoles I just enjoy more. I like having a boxed game that when I am done with it I can lend to a friend or loved one. I like that the I do bring that game over I don't have to worry about how it runs or if it will run at all. PC gaming is great but so is console gaming.

Now what to do with my left over steam credit...

Let's spice it up then.

Are you calling console people POOR?
Oh now the pc people are the 1%ers huh, we should hate them for that!
Now pc people are stupid.
Your now saying we live in a POLICE STATE where free thought is a crime.
I'm sure it is enough, look at the damage you've done.

This is how I've read this thread. It makes the circle jerking quite a bit more tolerable.
