My point is that is a ridiculously convoluted way to kill someone that also contradicts his character, why find a new dimension, kill dozens in his team, convince officials to put metahumans in it when previously he disagreed with such tactics and all that to slowly kill someone when he obviously has the means to do it himself if he doesn't care about what's legal anymore? It's funny you mentioned losing his cool in the second paragraph because he "almost beat him to death" when he was pretending to be unhinged just to do his job and find out when he was keeping the device, but now he's actually unhinged
