People are streaming "shows" via PS4 twitch..

No you aren't, be honest, you're scratching your neck beard with one lonely cheeto stained hand and with the other hand you're exacting a petty vendetta against people who have the gall to enjoy themselves in front of you.

How the hell do you guys watch Spartan?

It's just pretty much:
Answer call
What's your name/where you from
do you enjoy/like this?
cool
next call
And don't forget to show wife that looks like she rather do something else.

At least that's everytime I tune in.
This

At least when my local college radio stations do call ins they make it entertaining/funny

I've been watching him since the first night, I started when they were around 300 viewers and really enjoyed how it started with Adam Boyes and Patrick Klepek calling in along with Shu watching and what not, but man, anytime someone throws out ANY game reference not related to CoD he has no idea. To me he is even beyond the definition of casual and is just doing this for the notoriety and potential money from it. That's just how I view him.

He's said repeatedly he's not doing it for money or anything.

Too many cynics in here, they may not be hardcore gamers but they're a genuinely enthusiastic normal couple and it's nice to watch them just enjoy themselves through the PS4.

I feel like this Spartan guy got a little taste of fame and now is going full force trying to get this show of the ground. I mean when you're giving away your used copy of MAG it screams desperate for viewers. Every call is tweet this, follow me, etc.

Spartan is a fucking idiot for jumping head first into this shit.

Making a mock studio, buying shit, etc.. its day 3 and he thinks he's Jimmy Kimmel..

Sadly he has no idea that on a whim he could screwed

To be fair, it wouldn't take THAT much effort to be more entertaining than Jimmy Kimmel.

He could actually be something if he included Xbox One or even the PC into his life. Third day in and he bought 2 PS4 to give away.

I'm not trying to be cynical here about it, but I mean them having someone else play Ghosts right now is the first actual game I've seen played on the show in the three days they've been doing it now. I'm all for this medium taking off because I've had a good time watching the streams and what people are doing with this, but I see so little gaming related material with them is all, at least until today. It seems to be changing into something more game centered now and hopefully will continue to improve.

Why does it really matter?

If a thousand people buy PS4s to do a "show" and half of them end up playing a game, that's good for the industry. At what point is this causing a bad effect on it?

Same with everyone else using the PS4 streaming service. Every one that I've seen has been awful quality.

Once they patch out HDCP we'll get higher quality streams from people who actually care about quality.

Biggest problem for most people in North America is the crappy upload speeds that are common. Mine is only 2mb (get at best 1.8mbs through SpeedTest). You need at least 5mb to stream and play online comfortably. Or separate lines for your PC and console.

...why is he playing ps4 games on a shitty angled tv instead of just streaming the footage. No on wants to see your disinterested wife in the background o_O. When did twitch change into the late night wanna be network?

Just realized how much bigger this is than cross game chat & party chat:

people are actually playing games while talking to people all over the internet who don't even have a PS4 & they can chat with you all without you leaving your game.

Oh to me it doesn't matter, as I said, I'm excited about what this is doing and has already done and I don't see a bad effect minus last night's debacle with the drunk Texan and today's crap with the crying kid, but seems like that type of stuff is being heavily monitored. I'm just saying that for all the other "entertaining" shows being shut down for ToS crap of not having something game related going on when they were messing with the robots or discussing games whereas all spartanm had done the past two days is give away games and take calls with little game talk.

I think your mistake is looking at Playroom streams.

Just browse twitch by the game you want to see. For every "show" stream with a game in the background for legitimacy, there's 10 actual streams of the game going on.

How much better will they get after the patch?
