People should have to take the driver's test 3 times to keep their license....

1.The initial Road Test that everyone takes

2.The same road test but while using a cell phone, to make sure they don't drive like a fucking 3 year old while they're on one behind the wheel. I can only speak for myself, but the driving atmosphere changes little to none while on a cell phone, so why people creep along while on one, forget to use their turn signal etc.. is beyond me.

3.The final time when they turn 65, because I swear on all that is good old people's interpretation of the speed limit is skewed by at least 35-50%,and WTF is up with making a complete 5 second stop to make a simple right turn!!! Old people should also be prohibited from using the fast lane on the interstate as well.

I don't use my cell in the car. Would I have to take that test?
And I agree about old people. They should be tested once a year when they hit 65. I've been cut off, nearly rear ended, and almost hit from the side going through a green light because of old people.

Some old guy once rear-ended me on the parkway. I was driving a piece of shit 87' Nova at the time, so I just kept driving. I felt bad for him.

I got creamed by some old geezer once. He was speeding and I was turning. Initally the accident was deemed my fault, but after some investigating or something, it was his fault (I wish I knew why, but....)

Driving and talking on the cell phone (handset) is illegal here. I personally think roadtests should be mandatory every 10-15yrs (and not for a rediculous fee.. but hell, it's a good way to make the government even more friggin' money :p).

I don't care if she's 80 or if her entire litter of kids are honor students at the local elementary school, the next woman that attempts to sideswipe me by changing lanes without looking is going be broken in half over my knee.

Studies have shown that using a cell phone while driving decreases eye movement 85%.

It should be illegal and ENFORCED everywhere.

:lol

If I have to use the phone in the car I dont remember what I told them or what they told me. I know I'm more likely to crash while using the phone so I pay more attention to the road and little to the conversation which totally defeats the purpose and just adds added danger to myself and passengers.

Yeah, I'm retarded.

Old people are always at fault.

Old people here (NZ) have to retake the test every 2 years I think. They all complain about it, but some of them are pretty goddamn terrible drivers.

driving while on the phone should be illegal period, and old people shouldn't be allowed to drive at all. We awknowlege that people under 16 don't have the neccesary motor skills to operate a motor vehicle, the same should go for old people.

I just moved to a state where it is illegal to drive and use a regular cell phone.

My first thought driving down the road here was, HOW COME I SEE MORE PEOPLE ON THEIR #$!%&*! CELL PHONE THAN WHERE I MOVED FROM?

Its a $100 fine, and the guy who sits across from me at work I guess has gotten several tickets for it. He must have that thing glued to his ear for that to happen.

And old people, let's not go there. At least 50% of those over 70 on the road should not be there. Some of the scariest times for me in the car, when my Dad was driving when he hit his late 60's/early 70's. Before he died, I do think he realized he couldn't drive for crap, and would always let somebody else drive. But he still went out on his own often.

I saw a dude in rush hour traffic with his head turned, gazing at a laptop screen that was playing a DVD (looked like Collateral). In rush. hour. traffic.

It's true, people on phone either pay good attention to the road, or listen to the conversation. I do the same thing. "Uh huh, yeah, yeah, what, yeah, uh huh". That's better than "So I says to mable I says..." *smash*.
