A source familiar with the situation has confirmed to MP1st today that Persona 4 Remake will be revealed at the Xbox Games Showcase on June 8. It's planned for release on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, though we failed to get confirmation if there's also a Switch 2 version releasing simultaneously.

I hope they dont make same mistake as P3Reload and give you over power ability that just ruins entire difficulty of the game.

Theurgy skill in P3Reload kinda ruin the balance of the game in my opinion.

SMTV Vengeance in other hand made smart balancing still make combat fun and challenging.

4 is my fav with best setting, story and characters in the series.

But boy oh boy as a person who discovered the whole series in 2022 4 Golden was a gameplay torture. Will gladly pay if it will be remaked in the style of 3 with modern gameplay and UI/UX.

Atlus arbitrarily skipping Switch 2 is the most realistic thing I can imagine.

Doesn't matter how successful Nintendo systems are; sometimes third party developers just like to pretend it doesn't exist.

It's so weird, I was legitimately shocked they didn't have P3 Reload lined up for launch day.

I'll admit I'll be salty if this happens. Imagine a Japanese developer skipping the (by a titanic margin) most successful console brand in their home territory where games in that genre do extremely well. It's the perfect storm for a snub.

Return of 'big bro'.

The reason i bought a Vita, such a fantastic game. Also very sad when I finished it, those characters really grow. You don't want to let them go.

They really need to remake Persona Q 1 and 2 for consoles while they are at it.

Imagine thinking you know more about the sales of these games than Atlus does.

They ported P5 to Switch and they didn't port Metaphor to Switch.

Will these games come out for Switch 2? Probably, but in their own time. People are so taken by famitsu/media create charts that they continue to ignore digital and amazon sales, which could tell a very different story.

If P5 sales on Swittch blew the barn doors off, they'd be focusing more on Switch and Switch 2. It's a lot of work to get these games up and running on Switch.

-Adachi - Refers to females that rejects his advances as "bitches", even a high school senior. CENSORED!
-Mr. Morooka - Is an old school conservative who scolds female students for not being modest and more traditional. No way that's going to fly for a "modern western audience".
-Ms. Kashiwagi - Is sexually attracted to young teen males, but she gets insulted and rejected by them because she's an "over the hill"(30+) female. Need I say more?
-Hanako - She's big boned and treated as a joke because of it. What happened to Yosuke's "motorcycle" wasn't actually her fault, it was made in China. That's why it was so cheap.
-Kanji and Naoto - Their stories will most likely be heavily rewritten to iron out any perceived "bigotry".
-Yosuke - An actual "homophobic bigot" towards Kanji. Don't worry though, he'll be an "in the closet" gay love interest this time around.
-Rise - A fifteen year old idol who stars in an advertisment for a bevarage while wearing a bikini for female sex appeal marketing strategy. Her other self wears the very same bikini to "bare it all" while swinging on a strippers pole right before our very eyes. Nu uh, not happening, not in our politically and culturally correct game!

Yeah, I don't think this will be a very faithful remake at all. Especially considering the fact that Atlus went out of their way to make sure the original punchline of Operation Babe Hunt was removed.

If poor sales are the case then I wish companies would come out and say so. No reason to keep a fanbase on certain hardware guessing and waiting.

I would've played reload on ps5 last year if Atlus was transparent about a Switch1/2 version.

I think there are some elements of transparency that helps companies and others that hurt.

Saying, X isn't getting a port or a port right now because of poor sales doesn't engender support from that platform's community for future games either.

There are also the technical hurdles involved in making these Switch ports and yes even Switch 2 ports. Atlus doesn't have a ton of money or time and have to be careful with their ports. I wish someone bigger than Sega owned them and just gave them fuck around money.

Never finished P3 reload but I can assure you we are going HARD on this remake of one of my top 5 games ever made. Love P4.

Any chie fans?

My ears are on red alert. Let me hear that voice acting. Please let it be good!

I wonder whether it will include ski trip from Golden?

Got to space things out. SEGA already has Sonic x Shadow and Yakuza 0 for the launch, with Sonic Racing Crossworlds around the corner.

They want to have something to release during Fall and around the holidays.

Sounds like a lot of the original voice cast is being replaced.

Btw i think it was a dick move that the original voice actors leaked this on twitter before the announcement btw because they're salty that they got replaced. That's real POS stuff honestly and it makes me happy that they weren't brought back if that's the type of crap you're going to pull.

Are you pretending that Raidou Remastered isn't launching on Switch 1 and 2 with a native version for both in literally 2 weeks?

The Japanese VA's are the same

Persona series needs a step up.

Constant remakes are not helping in that sense.
I know right, more money will not help, more exposer will not help and more people playing the IP will not help.

WTF IS SEGA THINKING?

Oh I'm getting that day one on Switch 2. I'm just saying. I fully expect snubs.
Unlikely. I could be wrong, but Atlus is a company which likes money and they are Japanese where Nintendo completely dominates the whole country. They won't ignore Switch 2. People already have forgotten that Shin Megami Tensei V was literally a Switch exclusive until the release of the Vengeance version

Atlus just didn't want to do the work to back-port P3 Reload and Metaphor to Switch 1 because they already anticipated the release of 2. So those games will get Switch 2 native ports later on

This seems like the worst kept secret for a major release in some time, although I admit that's mostly on the back of old VAs just fucking talking about it on twitter lol.

P3 Reload was mostly an upgrade over FES, aside from mixed results on music arrangements and a few cinematographic choices. P4's less likely to suffer for the latter (I like P4 a lot, probably more than P3, but it's not as creative), but the arrangements are always a point that can suffer. The brass suffered the most in Reload but I don't think P4 relies as much on it? Been a while.

Get reaxy for another confusing ass Atlus game announcement at an XBox show.... Is it really an XBox exclusive free on GP day1? No Switch 2 or PS5? Oh my Phil-sama really wants to get control of Japan!

I think they are going to release P3R Complete for S2 first, hence no P4G Remake announcement for the Switch.
And we will have to wait for that announcement and us persona fans who prefer playing on Switch (when I say Switch I mean Switch 2) will just have to twiddle our thumbs and hope we get scraps.
