Persona 4 Remake Reveal set for Sunday June 8, sas MP1ST sources

PS5 or Steam? I might go SMT because of P4 coming and do that after if I enjoy it. They all seem pretty huge games so I always get scared to start haha.

SMT 5 Vengeance has a very long demo that keeps your progress into the full version, I would advise that one.

The game doesnt require a lot of processing power but if you have a good PC you can run it at 4k/120fps which is awesome, I assume the PS5 version is 60fps

Never played Persona before, might give this one a try.
I know somebody suggested Persona 5, but I disagree. That game is stupid long and bloated. It's a slog to get through and Royal only made it longer.

Persona 4 is the best in the series for me when it comes to writing, story, characters, setting, and music. The only thing 5 does better is it has more elaborate and involved dungeons.

4>3>5

Anything before 3 isn't really the same type of game but bth versions of 2 are pretty good.

I'd recommend Persona 3 Reload (3 has the best story IMO) or 4/whatever this remake is. The OG 3 is still amazing but Reload is more polished for a modern game.

Personally having tried Persona 4 after having played 5, I found the characters to be quite lame and annoying (especially Teddy), and I didnt like the chibi look.

But I guess it all depends on which you play first

Personally I think 5 or 3 are better. 5 for music, style, and gameplay accessibility. 3 for story and characters. 4 is a good game overall though.

I suppose more like 4's characters the most, but a lot of them felt like knock-off versions of 3's cast. 4 and 5 also have this off-putting element to their characters where their development begins and ends at their respective dungeons. Anything else you have to do their social links, but characters can make massive revelations during said links that are never mentioned again, so they may as well not exist at all.

I'm more of a SMT enjoyer and I think P4G still holds up as is. But if it gets us more Atlus fans I'm all for it.

Same, definitely more for SMT, but my wife is pretty excited about the reveal so I'll watch it with her, and I imagine I'll end up buying the damn thing much closer to launch then I'd prefer, just as I did for 5, 5 Royal, and 3 Remake -_-. The only games I ever buy near launch are stuff for her, I always wait for stuff I want. She isn't renowned for her patience....

It's a lesson every man needs to learn if they want a long marriage. I'm on fifteen years here soon, and I have learned it well.
In my experience, you get what you give. Spending the majority of our life with another person is a game of balance and compromises. A woman who feels loved and appreciated will pay us back tenfold. A shout out to all the wives out there for tolerating all of our bullshit. 😅

Couldn't have said it better myself.

To my left is a hot cup of coffee, a kale, kefir, and berry smoothie, and a bowl of delicious oatmeal. I did none of that, she always makes me that spread every morning.

I don't deserve her, but I'm thankful beyond words.

So, was this bull shit?

Edit: Oh, they had a 45 second teaser in the middle of that boring showcase. No wonder I didn't see it while skimming. Also that looks early as fuuuckkk. No way this is out in 2025 or 2026.

Looked very early, can't see this coming out until fall 2026 earliest?

I agree with that assessment and ranking of the games except I think P5, while having worse story and characters, still has better music. I love P4 music but 5 wins that category

I understand why people would like P5 music more, and maybe some of it is just Persona 4 being my first Persona game. I saw it in the store back when it came out and loved it so much I went back to 3 like right afterwards.

I've probably finished Persona 4 over 10 times, and Persona 3 4 including Reload so that probably helps as well. I found Persona 5 to be too bloated and I've only ever played it once fully through and put about 15 hours into Royal but fell off.

I really feel the thing that hurts P5 the most is the localization which was really bad. It was super rushed and overly literal like a first draft. I was so attached to the P4 posse that I replayed the game a bunch of times. But the rushed translation of P5 made the characters talk in jibberish a lot of the time, I couldn't feel attached to them. I've talked about it at length before with many examples but characters say things like "for the sake of absolute victory" or "you've repelled such an ordeal." No one who speaks english goes around saying "how'd you go with the ordeal?" "Oh, I repelled it." "You repelled the ordeal? That's great, good for you!"

P5 feels bloated. But if it was a huge game like that with P4 gang I would probably say it's a just a really good, big game.

Persona 3 and 5 have a more "grandiose" story. I'm not saying P4 isn't awesome; it is, but it's scaled down compared to the rest.
Also, I suggest not listening to the negativity surrounding Persona 5 (Royal). Anyone might fall in love with the game, as it has improved many of the original's negatives, and the extra content is mind-blowing.
