Wasn't the overall look of Too Human one of the reasons that Epic investigated if SC still -illegaly- used the Unreal Engine? I assume the art assets are only a part and engine can has its own look. Like, based on how different effects are programmed.

A lot of it depends on the assets themselves.

Guilty Gear Xrd looks like anime and it's on Unreal Engine.

CANT WAIT

Or can I... odds this gets a PS4 "Remaster" within a year of release?

Persona 4 didn't get Golden until way down the line. Catherine never got any updated version.

I doubt there'll be another version of P5 until years after its release.

EDIT: Oh, you didn't know it's coming out on the PS3 and PS4 at the same time.

i tried

am I the only one that gets very strong Death Note vibes from this?

So after finally watching the trailer with sound, when Potter-kun turns into his persona at the end it plays the sfx of the persona summoning from 3/4, so I guess the transformation is how the characters use their personae after all?

That and Atlus are slow as shit.

I'm from europe ,and i can see why hate towards atlus would spring eternal here, but Atlus Usa were pretty good at making western releases for persona games for *America*. It was available to the dedicated to say the least. God knows atlusprime ass is on fire right now to make things happen at least or has been for some time.

I really hope there's less "I wasn't able to make any decisions about my life whatsoever until you showed up, Senpai!" this time around.

No way, that looked exactly like Gamebryo/Catherine. If Atlus' got a new engine going that looks as good as that holy shit someone needs to license their art department.

They said they were using their own internally developed engine years ago.
Is there good reason to think there will be more party members then just blonde guy, blonde girl and cat?
Definitely. No way they stick to 4 characters, one of which is a cat and quite possibly a mute main character.

I really need to know if this is a mute MC or not. I pray that it is but having his VA (are we sure it was his VA?) announce the whole thing gives me doubts.

Depends on the engine. If you are creating an engine you could limit yourself with it's style especially with something like Unreal engine 3 where people purchase the rights to use it and are stuck with similar assets because they want to save money. There are much more versatile engines out there than unreal engine 3. Unreal engine 4 for example has a much wider palette for those who want to just use what's given to them. At the same time, people who license engines can choose to modify it, which takes some man power, in order to make it look more unique. That's how I understand it anyway.

Haven't gotten all the way through this thread yet, but if anyone is saying that this reminds them a lot of Cowboy Bebop - I agree.

A lot of the visual style, camera angles, sets, music, and graphics look like updated Bebop to me. (which is good, I guess, since Bebop was awesome)

Bloodborne wont have reams and reams of dialogue to translate.

At best it's around a month delay between NA/Japan. Ultimax has tons of dialogue and is fully voice-acted and it came out here 32 days after the Japan console release.

Now all I want is a Cowboy Bebop video game...

The short notice on their site said that those party members would be more "ill-mannered", which i assume also means they are going to have their own identity and ideals they will uphold. I would absolutely love for arguments with party members to have consequences other than a slower leveling of arcana.

That's also a different situation since Arcsys was the developer. A lot of their games have their menus and stuff completely in English already if you happen to import JP copies. JP Guilty Gear Xrd was completely in English for example, and I believe Ultimax was too.

Would be nice to see P5 come out here that quickly, but until Atlus USA says so themselves, I'd expect 2-3 months at best honestly.
