I'm honestly surprised fusion didn't include all the QOL improvements from SMT IV's Cathedral of Shadows, but it probably would have made the Twins' requests into a joke. (It has a fusion option that lets you make any demon with any spell, or request certain races, and it tells you exactly what demons you need to fill in the gap, and even auto summons them if you can afford it.)

I'm just about done palace 7 and I'm only level 61. Am I actually likely to get high enough level to fuse some of these late game persona's with level requirements in the 70s?

Re: Ryuji and 9/13~9/17

So I finally reached the infamous scene where Ryuji "fucks everything up", and I gotta say, there was some dishonesty in how the scene was described by certain people. I mean for one, Morgana instigated the entire thing and lobbed some incredibly deep cuts towards him for no reason, (He had some valid points to make, but he clearly said those things to hurt him because he was feeling incredibly insecure). I don't blame Ryuji for being belligerent about getting Morgana back, especially after all the insults he's had to endure from him for pretty much the entire game. The bigger issue though, is that Ryuji doesn't really express that at any point, so we're "supposed" to side with Morgana even though there are genuinely valid reasons for why Ryuji acted the way he did.

That's not to say that Morgana was bad in that scene. The whole thing had proper set up, and the game really does sell the idea Morgana slowly losing his place in the group, with him feeling more and more insecure. It started with Futaba, but there was always that division between Morgana and the rest of the Phantom Thieves because he isn't human (yet?), and the best part is that the team knows that. Little comments like "I'm envious of how open you are with each other" and the fact that Morgana missed the Hawaii trip hit harder after his desire to escape. And they were ultimately more concerned about things in front of them instead of Morgana (with the exception of Futaba and Joker)

I wish he ditched the group for longer though; his stint with Haru was surprisingly great (albeit random), and it would have been awesome if they were gone longer. Hell, make him and Haru playable and have them clash with the Phantom Thieves even more.

PS: Ryuji's reaction to Kobayakawa's death is the biggest issue I had with him during that mini arc. What the actual fuck?!

Post game.

Where can I find Mishima? I couldn't seem to find him. Do I have to max him to get his key item? Too bad it's just one more, I ran out of time in November.

I forget, how did Ryuji react?

4th dungeon down. The final path to the boss was way harder than the boss itself. Once they start throwing groups of enemies at you where one doesn't have a weakness the game finally starts playing like a proper RPG - you can't always just go for the weakness knock-down strategy and have to use moves that have higher chances of critical, debuffs and status effects. I like that a lot, but it slows your progress hugely when each battle is actually a challenge. (The enemy that was giving me trouble was
Anubis
, especially when surrounded.)

I like the game a lot, but man does it drag on way too long. I wish everything I've played so far had taken half the time. (I'm 45 hours in.) It's way too wordy, especially with the constant phone conversations that recap things that literally just happened. The idea that the fifth dungeon is longer than the fourth honestly fills me with dread.

I can see where the story is going already, so I wish it would hurry up and start getting there. The fact that I don't even have all my party members, 45 hours in, is silly to me. The time for adding new characters to the mix is long since passed, it should be about character development and moving to climax by now.

I forget, how did Ryuji react?

He's like "he deserved it for trying to cover up the Kamoshida thing"

I know he's an emotional, "yell whatever comes to mind" type of guy, but even that was too much. Makoto's shocked reaction and ensuing silence pretty much said it all.

Oh yeah, I do remember that. I'm in the same boat regarding Ryuji in that I don't think he's as insufferable as people make him out to be, but that did cross several lines that made me think "dude, think before you speak."

uhhh did I just accidentally start a romance? I ditched Ryuji on the last day of the school trip and hung out with Hifumi, and it was pretty romantic. She even gave me a thing. Also, do we know yet how it's determined which girl contacts you?

This is my 1st persona game and i think i am pretty far in the game. Currently in october. Anyways, i am not following a guide. just playing and having fun.

I guess i missed it, but how the hell do i level up the twins confidant level? Whenever i try to talk to them, it just goes to the fusion screen.

Get ready for a helluva ride.

I got a question (November Spoilers!!!)
So I just got up to the point where I need to send the calling card for the casino, and obviously from the intro I know that it's all gonna go wrong. I still have 18 days left until the deadline. Should I send the calling card soon or wait til near the deadline?

Thats talking to igor. To talk to them you have to look a bit to the left (back out of the menus and when Caroline asks if you are done there say no and you can move around in your cell)

Take a step to the left of the prison door to talk to the wardens instead of Igor.

You could always combine those two titles.

it won't actually let you send the calling card until the deadline. Meet up and try to send it to get an explanation

The game's not going to let you send the calling card early, no matter what you do.
