That game should have been delayed though. It was a technical shitshow at launch like all their games and the game itself is pretty terrible from a design standpoint.

Until Atlus let's us know how the actual localization process went for P5 or their games in general for that matter, I think they're a bunch of incompetents that don't know how to actually drive a good business. Shit like this would've been infinitely better handled when given to someone like Aksys.

if by that you mean
- never look at any forums other than gaf (not that I haven't been spoiled on games here)
- be extremely careful with gaf's search function
- REALLY don't look at twitch chat or youtube comments or twitter or any other unmoderated space on the internet

5 months is actually pretty quick by the standards of niche Japanese games localized by small to mid-sized companies, if you compare it to recent releases like Atelier Sophie (6 months,) Senran Kagura Estival Versus (12 months,) Megadimension Neptunia V2 (10 months,) and Danganronpa Ultra Despair Girls (12 months.) Squeenix is probably bigger than all of the companies involved in those games combined (especially outside of Japan) so of course they have the resources for faster localizations.

Saw the sheer amount of graphical things you'd have to change for localiaztion ,not to mention the massive script this, and realize that even if you aimed for worldwide launch it might just not be doable. I'm alright with a delay, hopefully the translation works out well,
