Oh, guess people are talking about it here anyways, heh. Yeah, that song is pretty much what I wanted since the game was announced, so I love that they did it.

Are there more songs where the entire cast dances? For some reason I thought that they couldn't do it due to hardware limitation but apparently it works just fine.

It really opens up a lot of possible dances.

So they go from super serious fighting for their lives against the first god to now just dancing around like nothing is hard and finishing off the last one....hahahaha

So I'm sure there's some confusion about Persona 2 EP PSP, namely just who the hell is doing it.

Some time ago, Traduko lit a fire by saying they were doing Eternal Punishment PSP.

Great! I was as excited as anyone. Then in the GBATemp thread, Scorp showed up.

I am really tired to wait for that mythical project from Tradukosoft.

Here is real deal from my comrade:

http://gbatemp.net/threads/persona-2-eternal-punishment-time-for-a-fan-translation.344765/page-11

He's the guy who got the text in-game, whereas Traduko were still at a loss as to how to get it done.
How did you program this? If the person who did this could contact me, I'd gladly work with them to translate the game and edit the text together, no problem at all. This has been an incredibly stressful game to program, and I'm chasing the same goal as everyone else who takes on this game: to help fans play it in English.

If you could PM me more about this person, I'd gladly appreciate it. I'd love to team up with he/she if possible. Programming this game has been the hardest part for me, and the reason I have been unable to show information since announcing it back in September. I'm just a single person, which is why information comes at a much slower rate than well established teams, so I do apologize.

I respect Traduko for lighting the fire, but they sadly didn't have anything to show but a trailer.

I'm pretty sure Persona Central's webmaster is from here, and I saw Traduko on there, so FYI: take any progress they're claiming on P2 PSP with a whole bucket of salt. Scorp's the real deal. He's Russian, hence the rough English, but he has the programming chops to make it happen.

Hi, I am Persona Central. Interesting story about that game's fan translation process. I'd really only report on it if anything major happened, mainly when the thing was actually released, though. I haven't heard much of anything about that thing's progress other than the translation's change in teams, so I don't think Traduko's lied about anything.

Not really, no, and he(?) seems like a nice enough guy, but he really shouldn't have jumped at announcing the game without anything to show for it.

I mainly wonder since they're listed as a 'partner'.

Anyway, Scorp's intention is basically to have this be open-source. Whoever wants to help can(and will), to make the best product possible.

Might not be the place for this question but, did any of you buy the P4DAN LE Vita from Amiami? it still says it's able to be ordered so I think it's still in stock, but I've never imported before so I have no idea what some of the shipping is...for people in the US who got it what shipping did you use?

Yeah, the so-called partnership was because Traduko was working on some translations for stuff I report on, like the P2:EP translation and the Persona 4 Arena Ultimax interview. They also put out the Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem interview translation, at the time.

Just having as many people contribute to the translation sounds like a good strategy, as long as the quality doesn't suffer for it. Hopefully it won't be too long until it's finally out.

Well, I hope you show us some love when we have my edits in-game. :D I promise exclusivity! (Outside of iwakura.p's blog anyway.)

Programming wise, I'm not worried. It's the text that is, quite frankly, daunting.

I shipped EMS to the east coast and it was ~1300 yen.

I heard keeping "Masked Circle" gives you the power to finish everything in a week!

Oh yeah, we were speculating before about how it was possible that a song in P4D could have any character playable as a partner if their segments were unique and the answer turned out to be: it isn't. I'm not sure which publication initially implied that was the case (I think it was Famitsu or Dengeki), but each song only has a specific set of available partners to choose from. Some have only one, while others have three or so.

I don't have my copy yet so I can't proof-check it but someone else compiled a list: http://kaleidion.tumblr.com/post/122361302864/okay-so-using-those-p4d-dengeki-playstation (Slight DAN spoilers)

Going by that all songs have a good amount of partners at least; the exception being specialist.

Somewhat disappointed but it also feels like something that could have just got lost in translation.

Yeah, there might have just been a mistranslation or a misinterpretation somewhere too, especially since it's a pretty specific detail. That's a handy list.

I pay so little attention to what's going on-screen when playing on the higher difficulty levels, anyways.

Well I mean at this point, those two may as well be brothers. I mean really, Yosuke as the bossy older brother, and Teddie as the bratty younger sibling fits perfectly!

Think about it this way though, would you want to dance with your little brother? >_> <_<

Haven't experienced the story mode context of it and I won't until it's in English, but playing through that final song is a great, heartfelt send-off to Persona 4. This is how Persona 4 Arena Ultimax's finale should have been handled but, even then, I feel like I'll even appreciate the context for what's going on in P4D more than P4AU's.

When you've killed like, 3 or 4 super enemies in a row and helped out a secret government organization of super enemy killers do their job twice, you get to go on vacation and acquire magical slam dancing moves.

Just ask Bartz Klauser.

Hype begets more hype, so I can understand why some would eventually get completely disillusioned with the whole process. It's pretty much why I choose not to consume any media, prior to a game's release. I just find it tiresome.

What do people think of P4D so far? It's been enjoyable, but I have some reservations about certain mechanics, though time will tell whether that's more to do with me getting used to everything.

Wanted to go in as blind as possible, but I caved and watched the second trailer. I'm weak for the game; looks amazing - art and music are great so far. Dying to start playing so I can learn more about the characters!
