That was a pretty good trailer. That they're still using the April 4th date should allay fears of there being more delays.
Well, it's mostly stuff where Japan showed one second of a scene, AtlusUSA are now showing two seconds.
It feels quite fresh because of this, though.
I dont know if is because the trailer is an adrenaline rush in trailer form , or the feeling of we getting to close to the release but hell the HYPE is back and strong as ever.
Best trailer from Atlus USA for a while, only complain is how they try to introduce every single phantom thief (scene + quote) but they left out Morgana and Haru.
Plus use the phrase "Is not japan anymore , the whole world is waiting bla bla" was a clever joke the first time they use it but use it in every trailer is getting tired and the time the line come out in the game im gonna roll my eyes so hard haha.
I see people complain about how cheesy the transitions looks , but i give them points for try something new for the trailers and not just copy the japanese ones.
In the dub subject , Ann is by far my favorite performance in the dub , she sounds so natural in every single line she was given so far.
Hell even Makoto sounds cooler going Super Saiyan, despite i had my reserves about Cherami Leigh work.
May be the hype speaking but everything looks great , even the font .... ready to play this bad boy.

Honestly, knowing that I'll probably either mess up some exams (due to skipping study) and play it early; or leave it to after exams and play it during summer somehow, my hype is deflated quite a bit.
Trailer didn't do much for me, I guess it's about time I go on a blackout- I was annoyed that there was new footage (of Persona awakening scenes, etc.) in there lol. Did like the transitions, though.

I've got no concerns about Cherami Leigh after hearing her role in Automata. She'll kill it.
Been watching some animes with her included lately and to be honest i really starting to embrace her work. Pretty sure she can kill it now (if the direction is right ... no more Fists of Justice like lines pls),
But for we been listen so far i think my favorite in the "girl" department is gonna be either Ann dub (E.Harlacher) or Futaba dub (E.Lindbeck).
PD: In a off topic Nier Automata dub sounds top notch , including Kira Buckland in the main role (still salty she doesnt get a role in P5).

I can now personally confirm that the Switch is sleek as heck. Feels great. Looks great. Has my seal of approval. Zelda is a monster on the go.
Atlus' style on Switch oughta turn out visually stunning.
Speaking of dual audio: Is there actually confirmation that it's going to be available on day 1? I'm not planning on using the Japanese voices during my first playthrough, but I'm sure some will be pretty annoyed if they can't go in with the Japanese voices.

My hype is back all the way. Also, I realized that I had three Person 5 preorders so I cancelled at least one of them. I think I'll end up getting the game digitally on PSN but also the physical CE via Amazon. It's just that for some reason I'm not getting day 1 delivery for that game. All this excitement while also being in the middle of Zelda has really rekindled my love for video games again.

Good to hear, would be pretty bummed if dual audio wasn't there from the get go because thats how I intend to play it. 4 weeks to go! Starting to feel super real! I've been sitting on my Japanese copy for months and only played it for like 3 hours, so this wait has been very very painful.

Charging for the P1 costumes, despite them being free in Japan, that's disappointing. Sounds like they won't be doing the promotion where the Catherine costumes are free for the first week either.
Not to mention things like the P1-4 costumes and swimsuits aren't available day one like they were in Japan. You'd think with how long it's taken they could at least release some of the DLC at launch, especially when they were at launch in Japan.

P1 makes sense, because it was a branding error in Japan. Didn't make the same mistake here. It's a bummer though. Love the costumes but I do wish there were some that weren't DLC because the amount of costumes in P4G was awesome.

Even then, the mere fact that DLC that's free for Japan is $7 for the west isn't going to sit well with people.

I learn my lesson with Dancing all Night dlc , unless they at least put some of those free (even for the first week or such) i see myself playing the game with the regular costumes and last surprise as battle theme.
Too bad because i really wanted the Raidou and Persona 1 ones just for the battle themes.

I bought all the Arena/Ultimax (minus navigator voices) and Dancing All Night DLC. Probably be the chump that buys all the P5 DLC too, since I already bought all the Japanese DLC too. :/ I love the franchise too much and just want to support it.
Thats my point is not like "bitch you are so broken you cant buy a 6.99 pack " is the fact if buy all of them you can literally buy a ps3 copy of the game again.
Still thinking the 2.99 packs are even more absurd , even if the DLC personas are broken ASF (which ruin the game fun) is pricy tho.
EDIT : For some reason my browser show the swimsuit pack for 7 bucks , but it seems is for free.... cool.

So $7 for 8 (sometimes only 7) costumes, and $3 for two Personas (one of which is a beefed-up palette swap).

Man, it seems like Atlus Japan doesn't help the US side at all A lot of those scenes are cropped way too close because they're trying to hide the black bars on the top and bottom. Looks like they weren't given the tools to disable them like they could be in the Japanese trailers.
That link isn't a spoiler if you've seen the video, by the way. Just playing it safe with spoilers.
I wouldn't be surprised if Atlus USA was trying to make some adjustments to the UI, but got shot down by the Japanese side.

I highly doubt that. A huge problem with the English UI is how unfaithful and lazy it all is. A lot of the issues are things pretty clearly introduced on Atlus USA's end.

Love how you look up a Persona Battle Theme compilation on Youtube and the first recommended video for it is the "Persona 5 Final Boss Battle"
Almost as bad as before I played the Persona 2 duology and was listening to some of the early tracks on the OST and saw a related video for the track titled
