Not the guy you quoted, but I live in a country where there are hardly any black people (when I lived in the capital I saw maybe one person per month, and they were probably tourists), so most of what I know of "black culture" is from the american media and the internet, and it's mostly hip-hop, nigga and stuff like that. I know it's not a good representation, but you can't blame someone if they never interacted with an african american, and that's how they see them.

Why have you decided to post now in an account created in 2012 with hardly any posts?

You may want to answer quickly to try and justify it.

I showed this very thread/pdp clip to a couple of my PC buddies that are black and they don't care. One response was "it's his constitutional right and it doesn't sound racist to me" and the other was something like "I'm a black guy and I just can't care anymore. I have my own problems to deal with as opposed to worrying about some Swedish guy saying the N word. Words only have power if you're sensitive and let them have power."

thank you for notating the minutes of your last imaginary black friends meeting

Yeah I know, that's not what I was saying. I hope you can understand that I'm 100% against using the word.

But I was clarifying what that other poster meant. And I agree its used so much in rap and popular culture, that for ignorant people, or children who do not know the history behind the word, the word will not have that connotation for them.

I hope you catch my drift.

I get some people won't know what nigga means ( in some sort of way). But here in the UK were PDP is based, the culture is heavily linked with the US. Only non black person in the UK that says nigger/nigga are racists. But then how PDP used it there is no looking at it another way, it was racist.

Outta here with that shit LOL.

I hear ya, I show alien threads to my martian friends all the time and they are not bothered by all the martian hate they get. They know we fear them because they have spaceships but they just doesn't care.

Are you sure you're not making up imaginary friends to give your actual opinions (weak) cover?

Usually streamers will tell you in my experience. I'm sure they get taxed up the ass though on every dime they make.

They pay the same taxes every one else who makes 840k a year does, 39.6 percent past 415k dollars. He's taking home about 500k from that 840k, and that's if he doesn't have a ton of deductions, which he will. He's not hurting in the slightest, he makes a lot of money he needs to pay his fucking share.

So that's who Idubbz is?

Oh man, I thought when everyone was saying "Idubzz says nigger and nobody bats an eye" that I automatically assumed it was some young black kid streamer.

But....Idubbz is some pale ass skinny white dude?

Is this a video of fucking idubbbz?

In case people dont know, this motherfucker has like 5m youtube subscribers

yeah its idubbz, he made some video where he went to some other youtuber's (tara something? he was proving that she was racist or something? shes a blonde white girl and had said the word before on video idk honestly) tour date and said to her "say n-" when they posed for a picture obviously uncensored and if im not mistaken tried to say the word loses its power the more ppl say it so it shouldnt be a big deal. a completely backwards and absurd video honestly.

Loooooooooool the black friend defense. We've done it, guys.

It's kinda funny that we now raise our pitchfork against this kind of behaviour. It's good and all, but I do feel it a bit too little too late.
Now is the matter of are we going to continue this or we are going to forget about it after a few weeks until some other big youtuber fucks up again.

So this is the most common defense video people are posting to defend PDP.

Another white guy who casually says Nigger as well as every other racial slur, because he's not offended by it because they're just words to him.
His argument doesn't even make sense. We don't use those other racial slurs likely either. And even the f word is less acceptable today than it was a decade ago because of changing cultural norms.

I hope this fucker gets identified and fired from whatever shit job he has. And publically shamed as well.

He's a youtuber with a large following.

Nigga isn't the same as the word PDP said
Why do people keep on saying this?

How is it different?

The word is derived from the er variant and is ultimately only fully acceptably used by black people like the er ending that it's made from.

Him saying nigga wouldn't make him any less racist.

Defending yourself by citing idubbbz is like one of the saddest things ever.

I remember watching that one, and had misgivings with Tana's homophobic rhetoric a lot, but what is the validity of his argument?

Tana used f**** as a derogatory term, that does not make it a socially accepted term.

The only part I find myself acknowledging of this, looking back on it, is 'It's all okay, or none of it is okay.'

Sorry, idubbbz, none of it is okay. Stop.

"Hello, my black friend! May I ask your opinion of PewDiepie saying the N-word? I want to post something online about it, but not have it be attached to my personal opinion."

That video looks like it is by the YouTuber idubbbz--who has always been an edgelord.

The person that posted it is probably some mouth breathing moron. His follow up to people calling him out on that stupid tweet is saying "I'm not white, but I'm not telling you my race. I'm definitely not white though."

You don't know any black people. Stop bullshitting.

I gotta get some black friends. That is a free pass to be a shitstain.

Well assuming the story was true, there could be a good reason that those particular Black folks are his friends. Like-minded people. If they were the type that would be offended by this sort of thing that poster probably wouldn't be asking them about this in the first place and maybe thy wouldn't even be friends. You know, too PC or whatever bs.

What I'm saying is, not everybody knows. Racism against black people is non-existent in my country (there is a lot of racism against gypsyes though), so if I only knew the n-word from songs and movies, I wouldn't know it was bad.

Dude, are you from Spain? Because the gypsy part surely remembers my country 😂
Btw, using "nigga" here is nothing outrageous: i think its used because of the pop/rap culture and thats it.
To be honest im surprised to hear the word is really THAT bad when said to a friend like "hey whats up nigga!" without meaning anything racist, just because you saw it on movies and such

Because I felt like it? Get off your high horse. If you actually checked my account, you could see that I've been active for a while.

I'm from Hungary, but that doesn't sound much different.

korey forcing people to say it is okay also?

No, I don't personally think it's fair for Korey to force someone to say the n-word. I'm not sure what you're referencing, I'm guessing Korey leveraging his power as employer for the sake of a joke, but that isn't a stance I'd uniquely take with that word - it would go for many.

What I was talking about in the post you quoted are feelings. They aren't voluntary. I'm saying that you can't dictate how someone should feel about something. You can say, however, I have no respect for someone who would allow that situation. Korey can let someone call him whatever he'd like, and anyone is free to view him poorly for that.

In any case this is a tangent.

Does your black friend usually start his sentences with "I'm a black guy"?

Hey it's me your black friend

So your "friend" said "I'm a black guy" while talking to you..............
IceRhythms is just color blind, you see, so when discussing racial issues his black friends, who are totally not made up, like to remind him of that fact so he can have the necessary context.

Is this really the world we live in...? Holy hell.

This guy has a lot of growing up to do. Very cringe worthy shit.

driving to a different state for the sole purpose of saying the N-Word to another youtuber (granted, the other youtuber is a hypocrite)

Yup, real voice of reason material.

You should also know he has almost 5M subs on youtube

can someone give me some good gaming channels to support? feel like its getting less and less lately... only ones i really keep up with is the Super best friends or Criken
ChristopherOdd is pretty good in terms of playing mostly new games.

There's also some like chuggaconroy, ncs, etc.

I've seen quite a few people arguing in PewdiePies defense with "blocked" people on twitter,

Which is funny because early this summer I used the 'BlockTogether' App to block some 26,000+ accounts of people who were either serial harrassers, gamergaters, extraextra loony trumpers, obnoxious trolls etc etc... the fact that even some of those guys are calling out the bs speaks volumes.

Cool app for cleaning up your Twitter experience btw @blocktogether.

Most of these people are either anti-gg or have spoken up about this kind of stuff in the past.

Anecdotal but I remember speaking to a Swedish reds fan way back when Suarez threw that slur at Nani. He didn't need any kind of explanation as to racist terminology, whether it was a part of his language or not. Neither did the Spanish guy I was working with. It's almost as if it really is common knowledge, just never challenged in parts of the world.
