do you think there aren't black people in australia hahaI know people irl who have said this (I'm in Australia (???)), what the hell do you say to that? I'm genuinely curious how best to proceed when someone says this.

Why would you ever think you can say something like that? That's racist as fuck I'm sorry. I can't even type the actually n word without feeling uncomfortable.
No, he's definitely on intimate terms with that word. By saying he forgot he was streaming, he admits he uses it regularly when he thinks it's safe.
Dumb people keep saying it was a "heated gaming moment" but he said "nigger" with the composure of someone who hums it while brushing their teeth.
Before? It's from today so...
Fucking Boogie. So desperate to keep the status quo that he'll defend anything.
The way he and TB act, with "both sides" and "media out to get them" is just pathetic.
Had the biggest voices in youtube called out their racist brethren rather than covering for them, then we wouldn't be in this mess.
Words are just words

I just consider EVERY single one of them that pull this trick out of their hat to be JUST as racist, selfish and inconsiderate as PewDiePie himself.Fucking Boogie. So desperate to keep the status quo that he'll defend anything.

I can't possibly believe that all these big yters act like a bunch of fucking immature underage south park fansFucking Boogie. So desperate to keep the status quo that he'll defend anything.

At this point they all share the same fan pools. I am curious how far this goes because at the end of the day they are betting on the short attention span of the internet to get past this.
The tweet is, no telling when the vid is from.
It's from an earlier video

It's something with English that let's you swear non stop, so easily it isn't possible in any other language(at least any other I know of). "You guys" are swearing all the time, mostly with the F-word(which funny enough, you used to prove your point). The N-Word is used quite often by black guys on youtube or on tv though, it seems like they get a free pass because they indirectly defame themselves by doing so.
In the end swearing is just childish behavior but in case of pewdiepie it could have also been a publicity stunt to generate clicks.
Could be but we should never forget that he is also an actor. That doesn't make what he said any better of course, if anything it makes it even worse.
There's more to racism than just the KKK levels of overtness.I don't think it's totally honest to cast him out as an overt, militant racist as it is to put the focus on why people of this generation and this era continue to find this word okay to use in casual conversation. We can probably easiest presume Pewdiepie lives in a social circle where using this word casually is simply okay amongst friends. This is not to excuse his behavior, just to explain how it happened. My presumption is that like many before him, his guard was down and he let it out without thinking because this is a word that is not taboo to use amongst his friends. It is used facetiously, almost as an additional curse word, but one that is a little more "effective" just because of the reaction it gets in non-satirical contexts.
Is Pewdiepie racially sensitive? Clearly he is not. Is he overtly racist--someone that hopes and wishes for black people to be harmed, socially or physically? I don't think so and I don't think he's trying to hurt a black person by using the word. My guess is that, like with his nazi-infused content of the past, he simply uses these words in the same vein as South Park has with slurs and pejoratives--but without understanding the purpose those words serve there.
In other words, Pewdiepie is just not a good role model. I think of him, his approach, and content as tasteless and childish with no redeeming entertainment value of any kind. But, I also don't think of him as a racist with some sort of ulterior motive. Much more likely is the fact he's simply immature.
Ah my bad. I'm really bad at that twitter stuff.
That's also a pretty big component too. Sadly.I just consider EVERY single one of them that pull this trick out of their hat to be JUST as racist, selfish and inconsiderate as PewDiePie himself.
They choose to defend his words... well, guess what, his words are now YOUR words.
And you can go fuck yourself until you prove otherwise.

You can be smarter than this. And I don't care if you're being sarcastic.Words are just words

To use the word casually is to actively harm black people socially. It is a racist word. Saying racist shit makes you a fucking racist.
This isn't an isolated incident. There was the last time he did racist stuff and the time before that. His videos reiterate alt right talking points and he encourages followers to check out the originals.I don't think it's totally honest to cast him out as an overt, militant racist as it is to put the focus on why people of this generation and this era continue to find this word okay to use in casual conversation. Oh my god I send that without finishing the sentence
" Words are just words until you got them."
Thats the main problem of this topic, you can't be serious about that sentence because theres not a equivalence to white people, even if it is, is not as spread as the n word. So that argument is damn baseless and pure shit.
I don't know why that's so spread

I somehow have a feeling you only hold this viewpoint when the words don't apply to you.
If this had been his only infraction you *may* have a point. But couple this with his follow up with making jokes about it without issuing an apology *and* his whole run of anti-semitic nazi jokes, PDP doesn't deserve anything close to the benefit of the doubtI don't think it's totally honest to cast him out as an overt, militant racist as it is to put the focus on why people of this generation and this era continue to find this word okay to use in casual conversation. Wait... I don't understand what you're saying
I think she's saying that the "words are just words" argument falls flat because there is no real white equivalent to the N-word. Or something like that.Did you forget to finish this one too? XD

luulubuu is definitely mocking the tweets here
Go to a black person and call them a "fucking n****r". Report back what happens.
Sarcasm right?
Lets argue about this, but first, were you serious?
LOL you better go edit the post too... oh boy.
It's a really lame excuse and it's interesting that it shows up so frequently all of a sudden. Same with "in Europe people don't know it's a bad word". Fuck that shit. Every kid who went to an even remotely competent school had american slavery and european colonialism as subjects.
People who bring that shit up definetly aren't serious about it.
