Flight Simulator 2020 is probably the most next gen title yet among all consoles/pc. It uses something like 2 petabyte of geographic data to render the whole whole world in extremely high detail. They have handcrafted 80 of the world most popular airports to an extreme high detail. That game is just insanity and highly underated for what its doing. The game world is so accurate to real life that its is using actual current flight data & paths.
I've got a feeling it might be quickly adopted for flight training and practice for official use because the detail, graphics and sound is just insane.

Spencer wasn't calling the shots, but he is now. You need to get over it, and see what he's done since he started running the division. Its gone from a disaster to something with a promising future and he has the full backing of the MS CEO to do whats needed. He's actually a gamer, and enjoys game culture. I couldn't say the same for mattrick or a few other that have been in similar positions.

These are very different games that aren't all the same single player 3rd person story based action adventure. I also think back to how different their older games are too with quantum break, Sunset, ryse, SoT, bleeding edge, recore, etc. They are going for diverse and supporting whatever the devs want to do. If they want to make another We Happy Few instead of an Uncharted type game in size and quality, they'll support that.

I'm actually doing quite well at 36 years of age. I play on all platforms,if you look at my previous post in Xbox threads it's generally positive with constructive criticism. I have receipts too that show I have no horse in this race, I want each company to do their best.
But saying things like what you say is ridiculous and doesn't invite conversation. Guess you accomplished something cause you got me to respond.
It just seems there's a huge influx of threads about next-gen stuff whether it's rumors/hypotheticals/or even facts, while it can be fun to discuss a lot of times people get personal and fanboyish to a point that it's annoying and bothersome and usually derails threads (which I contributed to on this thread,I apologize)

The Xbox brand is undeniably the weakest its been in a very long time right now. They may be doing some good things, but they have a LONG way to go before they can reach the heights of the first half of the 360 days. It will be very tough. Especially since its unlikely Sony will have a blunder like the PS3 launch next gen. Which was the biggest reason the 360 took off

You have no clue what his failures are because you dont know what decisions by him vs others above him. Its beyond "at least he isnt mattrick" but you refuse to see that and are dead set trying to find fault. Looking at the decisions made since he was in charge are all that matters up to today imo.

It's true. And the failures of the Xbox One's hardware created an Xbox division that was much more consumer friendly from it's 360 days. I mean on the 360, you had to pay for gold just to use Netflix.

I am just hoping to see at least one game that is something different than the standard typical AAA game.
It's something that really annoys me about Sony exclusives too how almost all of them go so hard in on photorealism, if they showed me some more stylized games I'd get way more excited.
People always bring up Spiderman but that's not what I mean...
Heck I'd even take something in the style of DMC if it had the same tone and deep combat system, I'd be able to put up with the realistic graphics then too.
I'll just be really disappointed if the games they come out with are basically just the same as the Sony exclusives and the characters all just look like scanned actors and the combat is really slow and bogged down by the '' realism '' and '' cinematic ''feel.

I'd like to see deep dive shows for each of those in separate days and leave the showcase on Thursday for just 1st party (especially if it's only 1hour long).

I really hope MS finally delivers on the talks; I understand it takes years to develop games but I feel that they've been saying the same shit for the past 4 years now with very little to show for it when it comes to actual games. The ecosystem stuff is fantastic, but ultimately games are the most important. Halo on its own definitely wont be enough this time around.
