About your first statement, not really, I guess. I have reached that part and got just a little bit further actually but that's that. I don't care if you don't want to label it as a spoiler or whatever, but it's still pretty stupid to expect people not to read it as one. But I don't want to keep derailing the thread, so let's just say that as someone who hasn't finished the game, I'm glad that you spoiler-tagged it.

Gif is missing the explosion that immediately follows that dude getting chopped in half. That's what makes that scene, IMO.

The pressure outside the tank is higher than on the inside. And if the container isn't properly reinforced it will collapse like that. Or at least that is what I remember from fireman training, it's been a while.

I remember the explosion but I don't remember the guy getting chopped in half. I thought it was just hand coming down -> guy's scared face -> explosion. Been quite a while since I watched it, though.
