Since when are cats loyal?
My cat (Himalayan) is extremely loyal; I'm the only person she'll let hold her and she will only sit in my lap. When I pull up in the driveway she's in the window waiting and greets me at the door, even though she has food all day whether I'm home or not. She's basically my shadow and all but ignores everyone but me, but admittedly we had a lot of bonding time when she was a kitten. Many cats are like this, especially those with Siamese in them.
Edit: As a negative to this, the 2-3 weeks out of the year I travel to Texas to visit family and have my in-laws stay here and watch her she hides under the bed, refuses to eat, loses weight and usually gets diarrhea. Seems to be traumatizing for her and makes me feel a bit guilty, but she survives.
