Just watched the English trailer on Disney.com... nice.... something about it REALLY makes it look like the end of the series. I guess it's all the pirates from everywhere coming together.... I know they've recently said if they come up with more scripts they'll write more and Depp has said he'd love to continue being Jack Sparrow....

I'm on the fence about this one. It looks like a good way to end the series, but there was also a lot of stuff that indicated a bunch of drawn out battle sequences that weren't really necessary or charming.

Could use more Loch Ness Monster.

Why is it that some people need battle sequences to be necessary?

Can't it just be entertaining? The whole point of this movie is just a fun 2 or so hours in a cool movie theater in the summer with friends. If you want another kind of movie, simply go elsewhere.

I just want to see the characters I enjoy in cool fight scenes. I enjoyed the story in the first two movies as well, so that's a nice bonus.

Also, this isn't the end of the series. I read Disney wants another trilogy and Depp said he loves making the movies so he'll keep doing it if they ask.

Which, in my opinion, is awesome. 95% of actors get so stuck up with the whole "Blah blah, I don't want to be known for this character, time to move on blah blah" bull shit. Depp's having fun making cool movies people enjoy. (I'm sure the money ain't too shabby either.)

Actually, I think it's because unlike Depp, most people that complain about that shit just know that's all they can really do. Depp has proved he's a fantastic actor all around.

Yep. Those are the 2 highlights for me too. Barbossa rocks, and the perfect synchronised music with the swordfight is just whoaaaaa. :O

Sorry, I'm not (pardon my french, don't want to sound like an ass) nerdy enough + from a later generation to know these films enough and say they are great. I've seen all six of the Star Wars movies (omg teh first three suck) and I think there's nothing special about them. Just 6 nice blockbuster movies and something to get easily hooked to because there's so much background story. I know nothing about the BTTF-trilogy, ban me.

It's too early to say the third PotC movie is going to rock, but if it does it'll be my all time favorite trilogy.

I like how Jack is holding onto the chest in one hand. That evens the odds, since Davy can't use his claw hand effectively. That scene looks great.
