What? No. Because it's a female protagonist with what looks like a mythical/fanatastical beast next to her. And the facet that forspoken had a cringey trailer. You are the one who is making it about race.
In The Little Mermaid, players control Ariel a rebellious 16-year-old mermaid
Ariel is fascinated with life on land.
On one of they/them visits to the surface, which are forbidden by they/thems controlling misogynistic father, King Triton, they/them falls for a human princess.
Determined to be with them/them's new love, Ariel makes a dangerous deal with the sea witch Anita Sarkeesian to become human for three days. But when they/thems realises that isn't enough and they/thems wants more, Ariel must epically battle through hordes of misogynistic cis-males to reach the king to smash the patriarchy so they/them can take his place on the throne.
Extremely doubt this is going to be naughty dogs next game, naughty dog did do it before but people forget it they actually had to patch last of us pictures into uncharted 3 like a year or 2 after it came out, sorry peeps but naughty dog literally work on 1 game at a time
Druckmann said in the Summer Doritos Fest that he's working on an unannounced game, so pretty likely is this one.
After all these TLOU games their next one most likely was going to be either Uncharted or a new IP. They are probably working on both (maybe with Bluepoint continuing the work that Bend left with the Uncharted spinoff), and as creative and writer Druckmann would prefer to work in a new IP than in a sequel, specially after all this time since their most recent new IP.
God, I sure hope so. Would love to be excited about a Naughty Dog game. They are obviously super talented, but I haven't liked much of their output. Would love to see a little more variety.
