Fuck, we were 3-4 guys entering the same house. Me and another went into the bathroom, and I'm the one to pick up the M16 and a mag. So I quickly reload, and this empty-handed guy punches me to death.

It feels bad man.

Glad they rolled back the patch... whatever they did last night made me go to bed "early" (5 am) because after the update I couldn't get by the title screen.

Right after I had my best finish too!

The game is rough, but for an EA game it's really playable. Rarely is there something that draws me away from my usual Dota and Overwatch time but I've barely touched those two games since I started playing this.

Very nice finish!

I got a guy who had a shotgun with my little gun. Later I was so dumb to run out in the open and were sniped from a balcony, I did see him before I died though.

And yeah, I can't stop playing this today.

is the game being optimized slowly? like are you guys able to up your graphic settings (except vegetation) without too much of a fps hit?

Jesus christ I suck in this game. To make matters worse, my keyboard ran out of batteries in the last round just when we were being attacked by enemies.

Just had a whole server freeze. Can't open doors, can't reload, the plane is frozen in the sky. Weird. Never had this happen before.

Dude... Haha. Who else in here is gaming on wireless mice and keyboards? Plug that shit in, it's go time.

Biggest leaps they've made is with servers. Used to feel like it was getting DDoS'd due to some Unreal issue but now it's noticeably better. Still going to be desync and some delay on picking up items etc but that feels like where most of the progress is. Changes to cpu optimization and actually making use of the GPU is their priority outside of asset and lod changes IIRC.

Buying in and downloading tomorrow. Game looks to be in the still beginning stages but i'm happy to buy early and watch it develop.

Might have an issue finding a team though, any resource people are using to find teams?

Haha I know. I went wireless years back and the keyboard did last 5 years on two batteries, no intention going back despite that setback :D

I joined the Discord channel as PeteTNT if someone happens to be online at the same time as me (usually around 11PM GTM+2) and wants to play some squad rounds.

If you didn't know stay away from Pochiki (sp) it's somewhere in the middle and it eats your frames up, best to avoid it

Haven't been able to play since the update on the 4th, whenever I click play to start a game it shows the Battlegrounds splash screen and then after a few minutes it goes back to the main menu saying connection to host lost. Something in the update mustn't play well with my (and other peoples based on what I read) internet connection. I tried using my 4G connection and it worked fine.

Yeah, saw it just now and would say that is no problem. At least the game is working and not crashing. Weekend is a go!

Bought and tried a couple of times, good fun. Looking forward to playing with some gaffers as my friends are not interested.

First time I was in the top 10 yesterday evening. Fucked it up by panicking and dropping my weapon or swapping it instead of shooting. Facepalmed pretty hard at that

I've got a GTX 1080 coming in today for my PC. However, I know the game is unoptimized and CPU heavy at the moment. Will my i5 6400 and 12GB DDR4 RAM be enough?

Was it enough without gtx1080?
If not then it will not get much better I think, other than same fps but with prettier gfx.

So apparently the player counter on the top right isn't always correct. Nearly screwed us out of a win.

So I had 2 games last night where the middle of the circle ended up being where I initially landed. So I just camped my initial landing spot waiting for the circle to shrink and each time I didn't have to move until close to the end of the game. Both times I ended up not very well geared and died around the top 20.

What does everyone else do in this situation? Leave the circle searching for gear and then head back to it?

edit* Both situations I was just hoping someone would come along and I could kill them and loot them. Didn't happen either time.
