Is it just me or is better loot tied to the more players that land in an area?
I think I've noticed this from the countless matches I've played. Might just be a placebo.
This game is hard haha.. any general tips for solo?
Okay, if you want to wake yourself up, go to milbase.
I had a really weird round where I got two guys then VSSed a guy on the scaffolding (I was actually pretty proud of myself since I got him running down the stairwell). At first I wondered why I was able to kill him with just 3 shots (the last one well after he should have healed) which revealed to me that apparently only a single painkiller had spawned in the entire base, no other meds. I spent the rest of the game playing the circle and trying to flank people, which ended up with me playing cat and mouse in the woods with like 2HP left for a full minute and a half. I launched a guy with a grenade and managed to get one shot on him before he blinked at me and I fell over dead.
As soon as you find a 4x or 8x at Sosnovka Military, go on top of the radar array (we call it Trump Tower in our friendgroup) and take that bitch over.
I love this game, but it's hard to play it when you crash nearly every other game. Patch notes said that they corrected some of the crashing issues, I hope my problems are resolved because this is getting old now.
If your hardware isn't the greatest, you could try relaunching the game after each round. It's a bother, yeah, but it seems to work.
I got the same CPU as you, and a 970 as the GPU, and I haven't crashed in ages. What's your in-game settings?Mobo: Asus Maximus VII Hero
CPU: Core i5-4690k (OC'd to 4.4 ghz)
GPU: EVGA GeForce 1080 FTW (No OC)
RAM: 16GB DDR3
I mean ... I know this is a CPU intensive game but is my chip already being bested? Do I need a i7 or something?
This game seems a lot more boring in first person. Plays much better as a third person game.
.

It was a bug before. This is how it is intended. Its not rolling back. Adapt.
Played my first few games last night, and goddamn, this games optimization seems terrible. Runs like shit and the latency is wack.
It's interesting that certain games get a pass with stuff like this, because when the stars align and everything happens to work, the game is fun af.
WTF? Fatal1ty of quake fame?
We have heard your feedback and will be removing the delay from both the drag & drop + F key looting. Thank you all for your comments!
Are people invulnerable underwater? If so it's bullshit. I just unloaded into a guy swimming right toward me in the shallowest possible water and didn't get a single hit.
thank god

Damn I liked having the loot animations. Oh well.

It's funny because drag and dropping is going to be the slowest method now lmao

There's that word again.
It will always be fair as long as the methods are available to all players.
I'm quite fine with this, seems like the crazy ones that though drag and dropping as a skill differentiator and how they are totally better for using it because they were literally skipping a animation others weren't able to are the ones that are probably pissed right. So much for their skill ceiling. And the game will still play better than if you guys had your way.
Take it up with the developers "Added slight delay when using the drag-and-drop feature on items in inventory UI. We implemented this delay to provide a fair gameplay environment to all players"
The fact is, the mechanic was unfair towards newer players, that's just how it is. I've got several casual gamer friends into the game now and it's always a hard conversation to explain to them what drag looting is and why they should be using it, something so essential to early game survival shouldn't be so obtuse.

dang first person made me sick as hell
They made the right decision
Edit: also lol @ all the people saying "but its a bug!". You don't get to decide what is a bug or not, the dev does. And in this case, the developer considers it a feature.
Oh yeah man. We're so pissed that the game is better. You and everyone who wanted a delay on drag-looting would have made the game worse, and we're lucky the devs didn't agree with you.
You need to chill out.
