Ah, I see they decided to listen to the whining "skill ceiling" guys, seems like they couldn't handle F not having any delay. Truly a skillful bunch.

Not really... You are forced to look at the ground with F looting. With tab looting you can look which ever direction you want.

edit.
uh.. Gamescom crate starts at 1200bp
1200bp sounds, fine, considering you can sell the thing.

Servers are laggy as fuck, cannot even open doors and just as I expected, first person sucks, one round and I already have nausea...

FPP mode is a godsend.

Does anyone know if you can switch the ADS inputs? I want to hold down the button for full ADS and click it to toggle aiming mode. I don't like this weird double input on one button system in general, it feels like a weird design choice.

1PP is great, although not perfect - but super fun!!

it's really lame though that you dont get points for playing it though

A friend just texted me that you don't get BP for solo games (3rd person) either. Is this true?

Also what does BP stand for? I hope Battlepounds.

No it's not, they are free and don't need keys.

Mostly, but I wanted a red lumber jack shirt lol

I mean on the market. You can sell them there :p

Lol, really? Why are people buying them?
They want to gamble from them rare items. You're limited to 6 crate drops a week so people are buying them.

he means you can sell them on the market for 1.50

nope, completely new crates... the ones that were in the game till now are gone
Actually many of the common items in the new free crates are actually remains from the old pioneer crates.

Servers are getting hammered. Either because everyone has rushed in to play with such a big update or because it is such a big update its causing knock-on lag. Either way I'm calling it for tonight, no way can I play a FPS with such lag.

I like the new HUD though, refreshing. Allows me to see what I have at glance which is great. Also the new crate UI is fantastic, really like it. Bought one of the key crates and hopefully I can farm some more to bankroll a game on Steam maybe.

OMG, this patch just sky rocketed my performance.

Happy as hell!

Was getting 20 fps average with drops during more players/firefights and now i'm at a stable 70! Happy as fuck.

For context:

All on very low:
Ryzen 5 1600
8GB DDR4
GTX 670

Something that really bothers me about this new Microtranasction crate is that the items like the suit and the camo cap are things that we've had shown to us before, in dev screenshots from months ago and even on the games loading screen. Advertising the game and teasing players with items that you have to throw even more money at them to get (despite there being no mention of that before now at all) just doesn't seem right to me. Even the steam store screenshots has them included. It just makes the whole thing seem even more scummy.

As long as it always cosmetics, i hope they (and steam) make a shitload of cash from people and divert some of that cash to support and better the software and the hardware.

I have allocated already my standard budget of 0.00$ for cosmetics, to this game.

It's sad this thread has turned into talking about crates, skins and patch notes. It used to be full of great gifs, videos and stories.

The first few weeks of a MP game are always the best. :(

First person makes fights so much better. People having to expose themselves to get information is so goddamn glorious.

I find that a pretty absurd thing to say when they've made far more than enough to do that several times over without the need for any sort of microtransactions already. They don't need more money to be able to afford to support the game.

you could say the same about Valve and CS:GO or similar games/devs

Next thing you know, you're going to have to buy the game featured in the screenshots of the game to play the game that the screenshots were for.

How is needing to buy the game screenshots are advertising in any way even slightly similar to those screenshots advertising that game with something that needs an additional fee (ontop of buying the game) despite no mention of that at all?

Key word is "divert". As in, i'm very okay with an entrepeneur getting all the cash he can from something as trivial as people attributing value to cosmetics on a video game.

Again, i'm talking about shit that doesn't give you and advantage or doesn't turn a game into pay to win.

Selling tons of steam cards to people on my store, just so they can try and get CS GO skins is something totally bafling to me, but if there's a market, i'm totally okay with developers going for it.

And there's only a market because of you know, the consumers.
